Well i need some input on how to do my next custom body mod since i have yet to play with fiberglass. Up to this point i've molded my RS body kit, smoothed out my rear facia and fixed the rear 1/4 so i'm not to scared to just jump in and try things and i don't give up until it's perfect.

My question-
I'm wanting to cut the two pilars off of my LS1 ss spoiler (aftermarket one piece spoiler) and smooth it out like they were never there. I know i will need to use fiberglass strips to fill in the holes and gain the structure and strenth, and top it off by laying a thin layer of bondo to smoth everything out.

But what i'm wanting to know is what am i looking to get as far as material goes and what is the best way to do this, one pilar at a time or just wack them off and go to town?

I'm mainly looking at the Raptor style hood from SunCoast, "Superhawk", or maybe the WS9 hood from US Exotics.

I picked up a front-end wrecked 99 Firebird for a winter project. One fender, the bumper cover, and possibly the hood will need to be replaced. The unknown is the damage to what I call the engine box. The impact was from the left front and you can see by the fender / door seams how the box or inside body is bent to the right. You’ll also notice the offset on the air box and the mounting holes. The engine and drive-train are straight as far as I can tell. Aside from the damage, the car actually drives very well and tracks perfectly straight. Except for seeing the crunched hood, you wouldn’t even know you were driving a wrecked car. I was told by someone who works in a body shop that the engine box area can possibly be straightened on a frame machine. I know a lot about engine work, but I’m new to body work. Has anyone ever seen this part of the front engine compartment straightened before? Thanks for your input.
Since there will never be a cat-back on my car again, i choose a formula bumper, seeing how it makes the rear look a little higher and cleaner. I chose shaved off the "FIREBIRD" in the fascia as well as the groove around the license plate.

Here are a few pictures. Before primer, after, before paint, after clear. I am also shaving the keyhole in the middle tailight devider. Will get pictures up after I wetsand and buff, and put it on the car.
