i have a 98 camaro with a t56, the car has been getting harder to get into gear (all). the clutch pedal engages about an inch off the floor as well. when i run the car and (try) to shift at higher rpm's i have a greater difficulty shifting and when i depress the clutch pedal it noise dives and does not fully disengage until i forcefully pull it into nuetral :-( The fluid level has not droped any and is not very cloudy or dark, dirty looking either. I bought the car a year ago and they told me that the clutch and slave cylinder had been replaced, i had to pull the trans to fix an oil leak and i could confirm that it was all brand new and worked great, i have since put about 30,000 miles of very easy highway miles on the car with a few power shiftes into second, no clutch drops or massive burnouts, does this soound like i need to replace the clutch or maybe get a tick amc and adjust the pedal out some more ??????????

The other night my T56 developed a wierd issue with 5th Gear.

At first it wouldn't engage, then I got it to go in messing with it. Now every time I go into 5th from any gear it will go in smooth..EXCEPT from 6th..it blocks me out. From there it will go in when you lift the clutch up, and even then it engages smooth. Trust me I'm baffled..lol

I can see it possibly being something caught on the Synchro..I say that cause if you think about it when you come into 5th from anything before it the internals are spinning faster than that 5th and they mesh fine. From 6th to 5th it will have to make the 5th Gear spin up, and it's blocking it out instead.

The Synchro is the only thing that makes sense to me..maybe something in there got stuck on it and it's not catching that 5th Gear until some pressure gets put on it.

It's not grinding or has any resistance at all once it slides in..it's either a total block out or right in.

So I am looking into the t56 and I wanted to know if it will hold this kind of power while shifting at 9000 rpms? not sure if the car being this light helps at all? on a 2jz the motor wouldnt see that kind of Tq till around 6k also don't know if that makes a difference.

Looking into a clutch that will hold 800 RWHP and 900 RWTQ. It is a N20 car and street/strip car, but need something that can take a beating. Looking at RPS Twin Carbon or Textrailia Exo. How is the pedal feel on these clutches? What other clutches do you all have in mind? Thanks for any help.
