Bare in mind, I bought this car as a project/basket case, so I have no idea how a Th350/400 reverse/neutral switches look or mount.

Do the switches mount differently on the "horseshoe" shifters (70-73) or any 70-81 F-body switches work?

thanks,

In the middle of a restoration of a 67 Nova. Nova will be pro-touring type of car driven often, consisting of a carbed ls1 with a victor intake, procharger D1SC, and a Tremec TKO600. Im in the mock up stage with motor, tranny, rear end, etc. My ls1 core is a 98 long block with supposed 18k removed by dealer under warranty because of piston slap. My intentions were to beef up rotating assembly with rod bolts, blower forged pistons, MLS gaskets with head studs, and replace cam and valve springs. But the more I read these forums the 98 block and heads are not very desirable, especially if i need to bore this one. I was also wondering what cam would work well with carb and blower. If i have to replace block I was thinking of a brand new ls1 aluminum block and maybe LS2 heads. I dont know?????? any recomendations??? Also wondering what kind of HP is possible with mild cammed LS1 with stockish heads with blow thru carb with D1 set for 12psi, no intercooler. I definitely want to stick with aluminum block and not go broke on rest of long block. any recomendations please. Sorry for the rambling im wicked ocd when it comes to this!

Can you guys give me your best argument for why you can or can't install the O2 sensors in a primary tube (one on each side) vs. the collector?????

I have always heard that putting them in the collector from the 10 - 2 o'clock postion is best....

On my application, it is difficult to get the O2 in the collector (side pipe headers) - so I'm considering mounting in a primary.

This is a 8.1 Vortec using a LS1 computer - 0411 and dbw throttle.

The primary tubes are 2 1/8" on the hooker side pipe headers.

Application on a 69 Corvette...

Thoughts?

Im trying to find one that needs little to no modification to work right out of the box, but expect 2 problems; the first that im switching to a cable driven throttle body and the second is im going to be using an older ECM since ive eliminated the the VVT. Maybe there is another truck motor stand alone harness that will plug directly in? any suggestion are much appreciated! Its going into a 1984 s-10 with no electronics other than whats needed for the motor, so one of the hot rod stand alones could work?
