So I bought this.

I tried to install it earlier today and I cannot get the rubber housing to fit around the metal part of the throttle body on my car. No matter how I try it just won't work. It took me an hour to get it around the elbow.

I was hoping someone here knows how to install it?

I understand that these things need to be air tight but it seems a little ridiculous. I'm assuming I'm just being an idiot and doing something wrong. Any help will be much appreciated.

What are the symptoms of a bad Ignition Control Module?

What does it usually do when it goes bad? Does it just die and the car will not fire, period? Does it sometimes give an intermittent signal and the car will run sometimes fine, weak other times, and not at all when it is being extra ornery?

What does it usually do when it goes bad? Does it just die and the car will not fire, period? Does it sometimes give an intermittent signal and the car will run sometimes fine, weak other times, and not at all when it is being extra ornery? Any chance of it spitting and farting running like pooh until it decides to run right and then its fine until it does it again...usually hot? Or is all this more likely opti?

Basically, the car has had this issue more off than on for a few months now, but the last week it has been more often than not and tonight I barely made it home. When it misbehaved, it spit and fart would barely idle, if at all, and then when it sat for a bit or after some more tries and about 5-10 minutes it would fire again and seem to run alright for a while until it did it again...got hot again. When it does it you can smell unburnt fuel as well which is why I condemn something in the ignition...plus I replaced the fuel pump with a Walbro very recently and while it is not impossible to be fuel pump, it just doesn't act like a fuel issue.

Any help would be appreciated ASAP as I am trying to get this running by Monday again and buy my parts this weekend...unless of course it's an opti, then I may have to order online and wait as I really don't want to waste my time with anything but a Delco unit. Thanks everyone.

I recently replaced the alternator on my Z. When I pull up to a stop sign and put it in neutral it barely idles @500rpms and sometimes dies. The idle is set @ 850. When I first start it there are no idle issues of any sort. Only when I'm stopping, I can also see my voltage gauge drop drastically when this happens. Could this be a symptom of a bad battery? If so why would it still be able to start? Does my PCM need to be reflashed? I'm pretty confused at this point and any help would be appreciated.

I knew I should have gotten an OEM like every sensor I replaced in my engine.

I used to have a little over 20psi scolding hot idle in the middle of summer with shitty oil and a stock pressure oil pump.

After replacing the sending unit which seemed to give false readying because the needle kept going up and down a little, I made the mistake of getting some brand off Summit, which is also acting the same way at hot idle.

I also just installed a standard volume high pressure pump, and I have fresh 20w50 Castrol in the engine. Cold idle is great, about 50-60psi. Hot idle? Just below the 20psi line :S

Of course when driving, its at 40psi, goes more at WOT.
