right now im running 255/50/16 mt drag radials on snowflakes.im going to be picking up some 15" rims soon and want to know what would get me down the 1/4 faster.
should i go with

hoosier QTP pro's-26 X 9.50-15 weight 17lbs
hoosier slicks-----26.0/9.0-15 weight 18lbs
mt slicks---------26.0/10.0-15 weight 22lbs
mt drag radials---P275/50R15 26 X 11.50R15 weight 31lbs

tires are only for the strip, looking for something thats going to hook hard and keep up the mph netting me the best 1/4 mile time.

im leaning towards hoosier qtp cause there way lighter than the mt drag radials,it seems i always hear a sponser saying his wheels have a big advantage cause there the lightest on the market,so shouldnt this be true in a tire also,IDK some on school me on tires, please.

Most DOT cops automatically assume that what we do is "commercial" and we should follow all DOT rules accordingly (they think that the chance of winning money makes it commercial). There have been quite a few instances of people being pulled over, fined, etc by DOT cops. But the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration had issued some guidance (very hidden on their site) that simply states that if you don't claim it as ordinary income on your taxes (and deduct losses), then you are NOT commercial. Of course proper licensing at over 26000lbs GVWR still applies...

Read FMCSA guidance for question 21 as this is the pertinant to what we do... I keep a copy of this in my truck at all times just in case
