This is my exit to, so i follow him closely. There is only one open lane and he takes it. I am right behind him. Light turns green and at about 40-50 im in 4th gear and... There is only one open lane and he takes it. I am right behind him. Light turns green and at about 40-50 im in 4th gear and slowly pull around him to get next to him. Of course, he takes off. Being i have 410s, i decide to go to 3rd gear instead of 4th. Well for some reason it went into 5th. DOH!! hes got about 2-3 cars on me now. But i dont worry not at all. Take the car outa 5th and throw it into 3rd and drop the clutch and hammer the gas. Traction light pops on and off and within that one gear, from about 55-85, i not only caught up the 2-3 cars he had on me, but put a few cars on him as well. When i blew by him his pretty little gf was in the car too, so it was even better. once my newly installed Raptor shift light blinked on, i hit 4th and stopped cuz i actually felt bad for the guy. Of course i know, i was puppy kicking, but this is the first time i have raced a GT of that style. my GOD they are slow. why would anyone ever buy one? im pretty convinced that even a h/c/i couldn't hang with my bolt on car... am i right in assuming so?

anyways thats my kill even though i A. suck as shifting from 4th to 3rd apparently and B. it was a 04 Mustang gt..

A pewter Z28 4th gen spots me and we line up....he jumped it so I got on it, but too late.....this was from 70 I hit 100 and shut down because there was no way I was going to catch him, but I did stop his pull....

Road cleared up and from 70 again, both got on it, me again a little late, no honks him just punching it as soon as we were lined up....He had me by about 7 feet until I hit 105 and then I pulled on him like he missed a gear and shut down at 120 as he flew by me doing every bit of 135 compared to my 110....

along a single road both ways, we stop at a stop sign i pull away thinking this was over. :engarde: but he does a burn out trying to prove something then at 30mph i look both ways turn ASR off SLAM on it kicking it into first doing a S figure all over the road.... he finally gives up and gives me a thumbs up nice kid and cool blacked out truck

Weather is nice and cool, mid 60*, air is crisp and the throttle response was a beautiful thing. After a little bit of shooting the proverbial poo at the 'meet', a few of us decide to have a little fun on the road before nights' end. Included in the group are:

'00-'04 Suzuki GSX-R 600 w/ slip-on and 'geared' (something about low end, I have zero idea what it means)
'98-99 Subaru Impreza w/ EJ25 ('04+ STi) swap and bigger turbo setup, dyno'd @ 378awhp
'06-07 Mitsubishi Evolution w/ bolt-ons, hard pipes and a healty set of cams, dyno'd @ 361awhp

And of course the chicken:

Stock LS1 bottom end, PRC LS6 heads, F13, bolt-ons, 4.10's & 100-shot wet (Dave's N2O 78mm plate kit)

Now I initially thought the Scooby and the Evo would be the first to tangle when we hit the highway, but they both moved to the side and let the bike through, sure enough he was looking right at me to line up so.. I guess that means I'm up! I move in next to the Gixxer, slow it down to 40-ish holding 2nd while he tucks under the windscreen and kicks down a couple gears. For a moment it was just alot of that hi-pitched bike whine accompanied by my car sitting somewhere around 4K while we figured who was doing what lol, finally I hear him honk it off "beeep....beeep.....beep!", nail the throttle and we're off! I barley get a moment to glance at the tach before I see it somewhere well north of 6k, rip 3rd and I couldn't help but notice my nose starting to yaw in his direction :eek2: Pedal it for a second but the ass end grabs and we're still screaming door to door (or perhaps door-to-leg would be more appropriate?), grab 4th and ..... what's this? I'm creeping away!? Sure enough he's fading back after a shift, I mash 5th somewhere around 6700 and hang on for a few more seconds to watch him disapear behind the sail panel.. damn I did it, I finally beat a bike :cool:

Off the highway and we regroup at a 7-11. Myself and the guy with the bike exchange handshakes and he's off on his way home, but the Scooby, Evo and myself decide to have a few runs ourselves before heading home.

I set up with the Evo first, turn the bottle off and line em' up from a 35-40mph roll. Right off the hit the damn thing just JUMPS! We're door to door through most of third, me creeping away at the end of 3rd, still moving through 4th and just a few moments in 5th. Ended up about 2 cars +/- ahead letting off around 130-135, gotta tip your hat to a stock turbo Evo that can move like that! I next line up for the same race with the STi. Much like the Evo, we're door to door through 2nd, much of 3rd but I creep away through 4th and end up around 2 cars up around 135. The Evo wanted one more shot, so again we line up, not sure what exactly changed this time but right off the hit the Evo litteraly leaps out a car or so ahead of me :eek2: Damn that AWD! There was a point where I really didn't know if I was going to be able to reel him in, but sure enough I closed the gap at the top of 3rd, pulled away a bit more in 4th and through 5th he was still latched onto my rear bumper, kudos to the mighty 4G63, scarry to imagine that thing with a larger snail!

Well, like I said it was a hell of a night, couldn't have scripted it better than a handful of good close races with good people. Looking forward to the video of the bike race if the guy with the camera ever decides to send it my way, you can be sure i'll have it up here asap! :cheers:

Late at night so I couldn't see into it but it almost looked like there was some sort of cage in it. not positive on that though. I start following him untill we get past traffic and there is nobody ahead of us. he gets in the right lane and slows to about 50, i pull up next to him, roll down the window and give him the 3-2-1 hand signal. blip the throttle, make sure he goes and nail it in 3rd, pulled the rest of third and half of 4th to 120ish, was paying alot more attention to the road than the speedo. when i let off i was maybe 3-4 cars ahead, again hard to judge in the dark, he pulled back up gave a thumbs up and resumed normal driving. That race made my entire week. I meant my liscence plate to mess with the million or so mustang gt's in my area, guess it slays porsche's too.

Then a 1/2 mile up the road I here this G-R-O-W-L......Wow..That sounds mean....So I get into posistion and try to get the speed from this oncoming beaste....But ...Im having a hard time getting a good reading..Now the car is a 1/4 mile away...Still to much interfearance..Now the car is an 1/8 mile away..I quickly change to another posistion just in time to clock this beaste doing 63 mph in a 40 mph zone...By the time I finally got the reading..I was standing on the side of the road only 100 feet in front of him..

I saw him in his mean sounding beaste with a nice fin on the back..He saw me standing their with my radar pointed at him and a OHH Shit look on my face...

Immediately I run 50 feet to my vehicle..Fire her up and turn on the blue lights and siren....I hit the road and see that he hasnt slowed down but sped up and is easily a 1/4 mile plus down the road...

Im acellerating as fast as my girl will...She's a newer vehicle but has a wimpy V6...

And then it was like a scene from gone in 60 seconds....Im Doing 50...Then 60...Then 70....Then 80....But I swear no matter how fast I went he just pulled away...By the time I hit 80 mph Id guess he was doing 100 plus and so on...And by the time I hit 100 mph..Well....DAYUM that car was fast....

I see him run through a stop sighn now a lil less than a 1/2 mile in front of me and then seem to hesitate for a while and then punch it...

Im still haulin ass and see him come to a neiborhood and make a right turn now a 1/4 mile ahead of me....

I finally get their and then start patrolling at a slow clip through the neibor hood....3 minutes later I see him pop out in a silver SRT8 with a fin on the back...I quickly make a U turn and get right behind him....

My first reaction was to pull him over and yank him out of the car and arrest him for evading me.....but the street racer in me knew that years ago I *may* have done the same thing...

He looked in his rear view mirror and saw me and looked like he had shit himself...The redlight he was stopped at had turned green and he was so scared that he didnt even notice and just sat their like a squirrel in headlights like he was just waiting for me to make my move....

I met his eyes in the rear view and gave a lil nod and told him to go forward with a hand signal....I then acted like I was gonna follow him but made a left at the light as he continued forward.....

maybe I made a mistake and should have pulled him over.....But again Ive been their and done that..And hell....That was the best street race Ive ever had.....A solid 2 miles and 5 minutes of blood pumping american fun....

On an empty stretch of rural highway, I run up on a bone stock looking and sounding LS1 Trans Am. I look to my buddy, who's coming home to visit with me, and say, "You're about to see me get my ass kicked." I open up the cutout as I roll up on him and match his speed. It's pitch black and there's no seeing through my tinted window and into his so I select 3rd gear and then 2nd. I pace him for a moment and then start to roll into it. about the time I get to 1/2 throttle he opens it up and my foot finds the floor much quicker than usual. To my surprise, I jump a fender on him immediately. As I ran up through 2nd I go ahead and select 3rd. 3rd gear comes just past redline and I'm still looking over at his hood. at this time we both shut down and I'm laughing in disbelief. I guess he couldn't believe it either because he immediately dropped WAY back and wouldn't get up beside me again. We laugh it off and continue the trip home. We are going through a little town a few miles later when I see the unmistakable taillight pattern of a subaru. Knowing that I'm pretty strong from a roll I increase my speed to catch up with him. On my way to get beside him he downshifts to go up an incline and a burble of flame comes out of his muffler. I reach down and open the cutout once again, but I can barely hear my engine next to his. I look to my friend yet again and he's staring at me because we both saw the STi badge and Cobb Tuning stickers on the car. Once again I select 2nd gear and match RPMs. I see the subaru do the same thing and then lunge foreward. My foot immediately attacked the pedal and I started pulling. I pulled a car on him and shut down at the beginning of 3rd. He rolls by me and, still in disbelief I start to speed up to go from another roll. I get about a length and a half back and he just nailed it again. I gave it all she had and to my disbelief I started reeling him in. I guess people are starting to learn not to mess with W-bodies.

Well needless to say I got the raced lined up, but he wanted me on motor and a first gear roll. We was only the second race of the night on this street so needless to say the pavement was cold. The 40 degree temps didnt help either. Anyways first run he honks it off, and jumps on the 2nd honk. No big deal I follow right behind, and instantly stop his pull blowing tires off. Grab second and just light em up again, but I'm still ahead of him by almost a car lol. I let out and we turn around and do it again, this time I do a nice burnout. Needless to say he doesnt even honk this time and just guns it. I decide what the hell and I play chase. By the time I wound out 2nd I was 4 cars ahead and pulling hard, I hit third and almsot intantly let out cruising by the camera...so anyways heres the video of this race...

And then I get lined up against a 07'(I think) busa. This one is from a dead stop with me on spray(150 shot). We both do our little burnouts and I back back into my freshly laid down rubber. He pulls up, the flagger gets out between us, and as soon as he drops his hands we are both gone.I leave out at around 5kish but dont go wide open until it gets moving nice and good and then I stab the throttle. Before I went all the way I had about a half a car on him. When I go WOT is when the nitrous comes on.I spin for a second, then I hit second to find some traction and haze the tires over. By this time hes out about 2 bike lengths. I stop the pull and grab 3rd, still not gaining. Then when I hit 4th I start inching up on him, but its to late. Couldnt ever cath him. And after that pull it toasted some plugs. Guess it went lean. Still on the stock fuel rails, and fuel line. I hope thats all I hurt lol.

It wasnt a very fun ride home with it running like crap from only being on like 4 cylinders lol. Heres the vid of this race.

forth run from 45 he was at my back bumper, im under the belief he was spraying on the last two runs because it was much closer.
After a bubdy of him in a turbo integra and me ran 3 runs each of them I pulled hard and once his turbo spooled he started to catch up, he miss shifter every run so never got to see if he would've had me above 100.
