I'm thinking of doing a higher compression Carbureted NA motor to put in a 2900# w/ driver car w/ a Jerico 4 speed. I want to use E85, carb, Victor Jr(or Super Victor if one comes out) stock crank, aftermarket rods & pistons, L92 heads, hyd roller(about 7400 rpm max I'm thinking?) Aluminum block, 1 7/8" headers. I'd like to get the compression to around 13:1. Am I going to have any cylinder sealing problems using L92's, and what would I gain using an aftermarket head at this power level? Will the stock crank be OK? What rods? Has anyone built something like this? Thanks

I am thinking about using the PAC 1518 beehive springs on a set of LS3 heads with a 234/238 XE-R lobed cam. Has anyone had problems with this setup? Figure it will be ok due to the light weight intake valves but would like to hear real world experiences.

Ok, here is the story. I recently rebuilt my engine with all stock parts except I upgraded my 241s to 243s. The engine is running great. The oil is at 50PSI at idle and idle is good. The oil is at 50PSI at idle and idle is good. Turns on everytime on the first try. I know LS1 have small knock on the upper part of the motor but mine is pretty loud. My brothers car is not as loud. Can this be fixed with a tune? What would be the correct fix?

hey guys/gals i have a 2005 C6 Corvette and am planning on stroking the LS2(364ci) to a 404ci stroker. i plan on supercharging it but would like to have a lopey cam but many people have told me that i couldnt do that. so i have made a list of parts that i was planning on doing and would like some tips/advice on if the combo will work good together. my goals for the engine are 700-800rwhp & to be able to use pump gas only(91-93 octane) so here we go:

LS2(364ci) to LS2(404ci):
-404ci Forged Stroker kit from Livernois Motorsports, supposed to make compression ratio 9.7:1
-Halltech Venom cold air intake
-FAST 92mm intake manifold
-Ported LS2 throttle body 90mm(stock) to 92mm(ported to match FAST intake)
-American Racing Headers 1 7/8"x3" w/cats & 3"x3" X-pipe
-Borla Stinger exhaust
-AFR 225cc 72cc Chamber heads
-MS3 cam(237/242 .603/.609 112)
-D1SC(not sure on psi would like some advice/tips on that)
-dyno tuned(probably at Thunder Racing since i live in Louisiana & have heard many good things about them)

so there is my list, will i be able to make my goals(700-800rwhp & be able to use pump gas only(91-93 octane)? and will this engine have low enough compression for the supercharger to feel comfortable? also just a side note, this is an Automatic 6 speed transmission, just in case you want to add in that on the dyno, i know they absorb more power than the manuals on the dyno. so please let me know. thanks :)

I lookin to put it in my 98 camaro and my question's is can i use 241 heads on the ly6? I am not keeping the vvt so what i do about the timing chain? Were does the oil pressure sensor go on the ly6? I have a cam that i was going to put in my ls1 but will it work (224/230 589/590 114lsa)specs. Is a ls2 conversion kit all i need? What kind of knock sensor do i use? What oil pump?
If do end up boring it over how much do i need to bore out to a 408?

Thanks for the help in advance.
