Default Equal length header tubes on a Turbo build?

Anyone tested or know if it makes a difference having "tuned" headers in a turbo application?

i mentioned something like this to the guy building my setup. and from what i understand, it really doesnt matter. b/c before you can the advantages from the tune length manifolds the restriction of the turbo is in place.

The turbo indy cars had equal length primaries so there must be something there, but they are 180 deg engines. Ours are not, so the equal length means you still get a lot of pulsations at the turbine flange.

Equal length headers do matter. The general idea with turbo guys is that it does not matter since you can turn up the boost to compensate. I'll have to see if I can find the numbers but with back to back testing on an engine dyno we saw gains with a tuned header vs. one that was just "made to fit" on the car.

Yes, for the average guy, probably doesn't effect him much. Hell you you can make 1500 hp with truck manifolds, but we went to great lengths (pun) to get mine as close as possible, and it does provide a very unique sound on my car.
