From one David to another David: hell of a job. 8.73@159 is busting into the 8's.

Now you'll have to change your title (per sticky) and your signature

Congrats

David

i cant belive those tires held a 1.35! all be it they had plenty of weight on them.
Seems like the radials need more air in them for the heavy cars.

My nitrous car wont 60' 1.35 anymore ..... Good job.

It was an amazing run, Dave. Sounded like it was going to suck all of us right into the intake! Let me know if you're going back this Sunday. I'm on the fence.

Truely badass Dude! I am curious if you are still on the first 4L80 build or if you've had any issues at this power level. Between the tranny and the turbo with the mild cam, this car is a true sleeper.

kurt, thanks for getting the right parts in this engine. still no commotion from the radiator

oh yesterday i mixed in 4 gallons of 116 with about 3 gallons of 93

the exhaust is 3.5" from the turbo to the stainless works cat-back and i have a 3.5" cutout before the axle

yes same rear tire set up as last year, diff wheels

front tires are still 8" wide but these weigh 23# each vs the 28 each of the kumho's (these are continental contisport contact 3

yes it is very rewarding to know you have the right junk and effort in the ride to show up, make passes like this and drive it back home. (just have to remove the stupid door bar and window net!)
i even set the shock positions and air pressures before i left on saturday heh.

atv you are right i was bombarded with that advice after last week lol. learn somethin' new every day. seems to like 20 fine.

cobrakiller
yes the 4l80e from transformance seems to be doing just fine. hard to decide to pull it out just to let him look at it but i think is a good idea. there have been 0 issues inside the trans in these 2 years and i dunno 10k miles or so.

far as the cam thats compliments to Kurt Urban, its been through a lot of engines and is still hanging in there doing just fine.
same goes for the turbo kit. most of which has been around since 2004 (and through a wreck). huge props to George and Turbo Technology

how fast can the car go? i am either all ready out of or damn near out of:
cage certification
turbo hp capability
fuel system capability
tire capability
gearing (if i want to stay out of o/d or under 7k rpm)

to take care of all of that would continue to push the 'street' out of the car, not sure where i want to go, but im playing it by ear.

thanks again everyone. means a lot! you too rice-peter

i say leave that bitch alone. you can always swap to a taller tire if you need more on the top end. they make a 27 and 28 inch tire for the 17's. plus you will have some more sideall to bite but wit a 1.35 that doesnt seem to be an issue. like i said that car really is where its at. id like to see some dyno numbers on it though-we see it et's damn good.
