Too much boost?
I have a stock 2002 Camaro SS A4... sts kit with the gt-67 w/ 42lb injectors... They installed the kit.. did a pull around 3,500rpms and the car made 413hp/534tq.... the car was blowing off hoses and clamps so they need to fix this and do some full runs.. and he said the kit is making 10psi of boost... is this bad? I need some advice, cause they said i'll be fine, but I dont want my car to blow up..

i am pretty sure ls1's are 10.2:1 CR. if you wanna run 10 psi got with lq9 head and lower your CR. also i would not be running stock valve springs on 8 psi. you could see some valve float.

10 psi should be fine with an intercooler, or meth and a good tune and supporting fuel system.
To lower boost you will need a lighter wastegate spring, a boost controller can't lower boost below spring pressure,it can only increase it.

Buddy runs 5psi on his sts kit for several years. Very conservative guy. 7psi should be fine and 8 ok. Intercooler is still good idea. Run premium fuel of course. Alc/meth also good idea. As said with the lower compression heads then 10psi would likely be fine.
Its a wild card on the stock motors. The stock pistons are very brittle and can lose ringlands easily with any problems with tune ..virtually any detonation and ringlands are bye bye. Many pics of that on here.
I would be very conservative and stick to 7 max if it was me without the head change. Unless you can afford to rebuild sooner maybe rather than lately .And yes have read of guys pushing quite a bit past 10psi but its gambling to me.
The sts even at 7psi tuned right will be pretty quick. Intercooler and al/meth will let your run more timing for more power as well. And keep knock away. A good scanner is your friend. And yeah you need to change out gate springs to run lower minimum boost. boost controllers only let you raise boost above gate springs.
