This race was on a pro tree, still getting used to launching the car. The difference between half a second on the 2 step is amazing on how much boost it builds, once it crests 5 psi, it is instantly to 9 psi. I backed it down to insure I made a clean pass.

I was figuring that, which is encouraging with the low 12 psi boost level.

Do you have a 3 step or just a two step? 3 steps are awsome...build boost on footbrake in prestage...bump in and set 2 step to add a few more psi...
This year, I'm at 6psi in prestage and 9.1 psi at launch...I haven't adjusted anything yet...this was only 4 runs...

Just 2 step for now, I plan on sending the ECM back to John to have the 3-step and other little magic trick done to it.
sounds like a winner
what other magic trick were you thinking about

Another great day with the National Speed Inc. Trans Am today. We won the Quick 8 shootout in Fayetteville NC. Another $500 in the pocket and a new best with 9.08 at 151! Left the line at 3500 rpm and 3.8psi of boost and ran 15psi through the run. It spun a touch on that pass with a 1.44 60ft. I ran several wheels up 1.3 60fts today, I will get pictures and video up tomorrow.
Oh and BTW Hoosier 325-50-15 Drag Radials rock the house!

LOL!!! I wanted to keep it all together for Pinks All Out Charlotte this coming weekend, after that we are cranking the boost up!
Here is a couple of vids and pics.
We didn't get the video of the second pass where it carried the front tires a long way, but hopefully it will turn up. Ran a 5.83 at 123 in the 1/8th that day too.

Man I sure hope the changes I made the last 2 weeks pay off in the early numbers...you're running almost the same 1/8 mile time as I did 2 wks ago with 13 less mph

Made 4 passes today, track was hooking well. Best pass came with 2 step at 4500 rpm, left at around 8 psi.
60 ft. 1.51
1/8th 6.25
1/8th 120 mph
1/4 9.50
1/4 150.05 mph
It would dead hook, and then hazed the tires on this pass through first gear.
I have stock shocks and springs on the car, and I feel that is the fix for that. I will order a set of double adjustable AFCO's tomorrow.
Boost was set on 17 psi on this pass, and it felt awesome. This was a great baseline test, and we are planning whittling the 60 ft. down from here. The car ran perfect, with no issues.
Videos will be uploaded soon, I am too tired tonight. Not bad for a street car, huh?
Nice!! I think you have more in it!! You ran a .07 faster 1/8th then me... and identical 60'... you have the bigger frame turbo and a front mount vs: my rearmount PT88... I really think you got more in her!

This is with the 3.0 gearing. This PTC converter has been awesome.

it'll be interesting to see what happens when you crank up the power level (boost)

When Dusty specced the converter, it was for the 3.0 gear, T-brake and 18-20 psi of boost. He said that 3.0 gear really puts a load on the converter, so it a pretty tight setup, 45* stator.
