The ported L92's were 75cc, so that is a pretty big difference.

Around 9.5-1, yeah same setup as yours gasket wise. My slugs are .010 above the deck, flat tops with -4cc VR's.

Just call Cometic. We also have a pretty thick gasket. We're around 10:1.

Oh, ok. I see little difference between the cometic and the OE GM gaskets except 1) the cost and 2) the thickness we needed.

There is a big difference in the gaskets. Have you not ever looked at them both?? The Cometic gaskets have a built in o-ring around the combustion chamber. The stock gaskets do not. This is why you cannot use a o-ring block or head with cometic gasket's, But you can with the stock gm gaskets.

More than likely the block or heads are o-ringed!
Cometic gaskets have o-rings built into the gasket.

Well maybe it was just me overlooking, but yes I've seen a cometic and a GM headgasket.
