Insane? You must be new to this.. When I had my headers fabbed from scratch because there were no turbo headers that could be purchased except fly by night companies that had 9 month waits and never delivered $995 would have been a STEAL. Now days I think you should feel good about that price.

The headers are not even the most expensive part of the build anyway and not one you will really want to skimp on, make sure you have enough cash for the fuel system, gauges, gates/valves, turbo, etc before you start worrying over a few dollars on some nice SS headers.

I've been checking they out to. I just wish they were built from 321 instead of 304.

321 is alloyed with titanium and will hold up better for a street car where the headers are heat cycled much more often. My car is 95% street 5% track so I'm looking to keep it as reliable as possible.

How's everything coming along with the new motor Brian?

Build them out of the proper thickness and you wont have a problem. .065 wall tubing is not made for heat cycling and pressure and usually dont last unless you brace the hell out of everything. The schedule 10 pipe elbows are .109 wall I believe. Mine are made of 304 and the headers suppport the turbo all by themselves. 3 years and not a crack. The things been driven hard also. Cost a couple hundred bucks for material.

+1. On their site it says that they are LSX headers but doesn't mention if they will fit an Fbody, vette or if they are intended for hot rod type projects with tons of room in the engine compartment.

A grand is a steal for ss headers. My OFI headers were for $2500 but I can't seem to sell the whole hotside for less then that though.

Yeah...stainless turbo headers for under $1000 IS A STEAL!!!!
I been getting quotes for $2000+ for the past two years...i called Stainless and they couldn't give me dimensions on the headers, however I was told that they were designed with the f-body in mind...that doesn't help me, being I have a '69 Camaro i'm doing....

Stainless Works Headers still need V-band flanges welded. It says 3" Slip Fit Collectors on there site. Does that mean 3" cross over pipe can be used. I think the OFI headers use 2.5" cross over pipe!
