Go on www.car-part.com and type in a 2001 chevy silverado 6.0 and you should getr a list of all motors around you. You can get some up here in the NE for 750-800. Same note a 5.3 is 250-500. I work at a GM dealer and I buy all the 6.0 core motors for 300 but some have rod knocks, busted pushrods etc.
Oh you gotta keep me posted! You should post up a video too!
Thanks man! Well, found out some bad news a little bit ago, sorta. Shop called me to let me know the turbo is not draining quickly enough and is going to need a scavenger pump. I kinda was hoping I wouldn't need one but with the turbo mounted so low and my car lowered in the front with the fatties on the back, just ain't working so good.
Anyways, they are installing the higher end scavenger pump from TurboWerx (T2VDC Version:TurboWerx Part # TWX-300-12V) to correct the issue. Having them to go ahead and install a Turbonetics manual boost controller, weld in a 02 bung for the downpipe, bleed clutch and so on.
Soooooooo, it sucks it will be next week before any dyno or more tuning, but I want it to be right. The saga continues..... . . .

The LQ-4 motor I purchased was 1800 bucks, but the motor had 13k on it. For that (your motor purchase price), with warranty, I would have got that instead of what I had. My warranty was for 30 days. It expired now, but the motor is brand new (we broke it down the day we got it home).

That's just the name of the game. You are smarter that a lot of guys though. Do it right, the first time!
FYI: I'm not gonna forget about the dyno and a movie next weekend!
