Default Meth nozzels in a TB spacer plate after the throttle body?

has anyone thought of this? and would it be ok to spray methanol in back of the Throttle Body ,

I was thinking of drilling & tapping one of these plates (check link below) and installing 2 small Snow methanol nozzels , one on each side, kinda like a NOS wet TB plate nitrous system.

One reason is because of where my IAT sensor is , in the procharger plemum twin intercooler air box , i cant spray meth in the air box because it is in front of the MAF sensor, cant get that wet!
So i was thinking on installing the AIT sensor in the top of my LS6 intake , where the EGR pipe is on a LS1 intake, now methanol can spray and the AIT sensor can read it.

Let me know what you guys think.

Make sure you use a silnoid on the feed line...otherwise the vacuum from the engine will suck the methanol through the pump.

If you dont have a meth kit already, I HIGHLY recommend you call Julio at Alky Control.

The way we do it on the Turbo Buicks is that we put the Nozzle(or two) in the up pipe from the IC to the TB. It's proven to work, and we have street cars in the 9s running 93 and methanol with dual m15 nozzles on Julios kit.

Im sure we could get them into the 8s, but honestly these car are pure street cars... No one wants to put a funny car cage in their DD.

Julio is the man in the turbo V6 world... Hell Im gunna run E85 with his kit and a preturbo water mist and get rid of my intercooler all together. If I get really ballsy I might throw on a small nitrous shot too!

I run a coolingmist, they have a check valve inline to prevent meth syphoning through the system when not spraying .

I have the alkycontrol system on my car. I thought of putting the meth nozzle behind the TB too and asked Julio about that and he said it was a bad idea. I guess because of like what black98ws6ta said- the vacuum inside the manifold would suck the meth thru the lines..

I have been working on making a "power ring" set-up on my car. I just don't know if I want to do a bunch of small holes (.005-7) with one feed line. Or just 2 nozzles. I had planed to just weld it the tb.

I'm a aerospace machinist so I have all the tools, just need to find the time

you are correct about this entire statement, but you kinda missed the point, what he was trying to get past was a stock location MAF sensor, you have like 3 inches behind it to the tb so this was his idea of a solution. if he was running speed density or had the MAF before the turbo as on a lc2 you could do it that way.

either way id call alky control

Your terminology is confusing. How can it be in front of the MAF AND behind the TB???

Look at the intake tract as air flows thru it. You want the meth nozzle BEHIND the MAF so that when it sprays, the airflow doesnt carry the meth into the MAF and ruin the sensor. And you want it IN FRONT of the TB so that when the throttle blade is closed, the vacuum inside the manifold doesn't suck the meth in thru the lines.

I used an old TNT 90mm nitrous ring and plumbed two nozzles into that right before the TB.
