Default what converter stall for my turbo

I have a 71 nova and will be putting a 5.7 in. It will be all stock with stock cam etc. Only looking for about 550rwhp.

I have a master power t70 .68 ill be using. I think full boost would be in the 2500rpm to 2800rpm range.

I have a th350 and 4.1 gears in the back

What stall should I be looking for? I want it to launch hard

Call Greg at FTI. They're a sponsor. Mine is at about 4400 right now and I just cut a 1.36 60' Friday night on a bone stock 6.0 long block. Very street friendly. Hell I used to daily drive the car with it stalled at 5200 when it still had the A/C.

os Ive heard that if the converter is too loose, the turbo will "blow thru" the converter. what does that mean,.

second question. would the engine be a dog with a 2400 stall unit?

Too low of a stall and it might never spool up. Anything under 3500 is pretty much a waste of time in my opinion. A 2400 stall would be no different than stock.
A T70 w/ a .68 exh housing should spool pretty fast though. But even w/ the stock cam and boost your power band will be higher, and 3500 is perfect for a stock cam in a stock car. You could have a 3500 in it and not even tell driving it around.

shit, street car (still under construction) and I have a 3200 PTC for my 370, TC78, th400 with a 12 bolt and 2.73's... I think the stall will be awesome from what I've been told. A friend has an 05 Silverado, stock 5.3, small'ish cam, 317's, th400 with 3.23 out back on his 3300 stall and that truck pulls hard as hell.

Keep in mind, My buddy and me are building highway roll type vehicles

so do you think a 3500, 9.5" would be a good choice? or do I need to step it up to a 4000?

I have decided to go 5.3 if that makes a difference.

also, Im looking at "redneck converters" on ebay. heard anything good about them?
