lol, not really. as long as the metal is clean and prepped that's exacxtly what works. how else would you do it? trying to evenly and totally coat the inside of a several foot long piece of pipe with bends in it using an airbrush or HVLP gun probably isn't gonna work so great

as far as the oven cure ceramics, just need to follow what the manufacturer of the product reccomends.
