Thanks guys. I'm 1.5hrs from the mile in San Antonio. Yes I'm RX427 on v8rx7forum and will start a build thread today. Thanks for being patient. Many have been asking me regularly about the car since last year and I didn't want a long drawn out build thread with 20+ pages so I waited till things were closer to done.
First off... DAMN nice car. That things looks beastly, and will probably perform beastly too.
But just another thing, its always been in my opinion that once you get to that much horsepower, weight isnt such a huge thing. It would be more like aerodynamics and more and more hp. That 100lbs=0.1 1/4 and 1mph thing is bullshit. If I put a 100 pound weight in a top fuel dragster, it wont lose a 1/10. There sometimes almost a 100lb difference between drivers. Its all on a curve.
All just my opinion though.

yeah no lie! i've seen your car on the sig and was trying to find a build thread for it! i'm glad you finally started it!!
+1! And OH MY LORD!!!! That is way, way, WAY more badass creation than I even ever could have imagined! Man, mad props to you for such a wicked creation!
Are you worried at all about the 4 bolt heads lifting under the immense pressure from the F2??

The F2 isn't pullied to the max. I don't believe Shawn would send me a motor that's lifting heads! LOL Look at the LS2 he pulled apart that was making north of 1600hp, no head lifting there...
Love the car, but man those GTM's are SICK. When I get out of Grad school thats what I am buying/building.
The GTM was at the top of my list: exotic, lightweight, tube chassis race car, rear mount lsx etc. The reasons I didn't do the GTM; looks/lines aren't quite kosher to me. It looks good but the more you look at it the less appealing it gets... Also, the $10K minimum porsche transaxle that can't handle 1000+hp reliably, and no capable clutch system. That and the build time of hundreds of hours and hunting down all kinds of parts. I wanted something with a large and successful aftermarket already ironed out and most of all, something I could have on the road quickly.
Good luck but I think you will be disappointed with your results. Weight is no where near of a factor for the Texas Mile as Horsepower is. And your wide body will only hinder you further. I know there is one WB Supra(name escapes me Amed B or something like that) that has more horsepower than SW yet ran slightly slower due to his wide body. Texas Mile is all about Aero and HP.
And I'm not hating just being honest. Your car is defiantly sick.
SW's record is 246.2 MPH btw.

Just in: Here's the custom made A2W tank with Big Rule pump inside . The tank sits directly over the back tires under the strut tower brace. Holds about 10gallons. I'm contemplating have it paint matched with the exterior of the car.
