Although I did blow the crap out of my engine at that time too...so I guess the cylinder temps were rather high

Seat pressure combined with extreme cylinder temps I guess can only do one thing. Perhaps if its a material issue that cant be helped, ceramic coating the face of the intake valve may help stop heat transfer into the valve ?

3800-4000rpms. It made 1123rwhp. Mightymouse is trying his GT91 T4 on a auto so we'll see how that does. We want to get some #'s from the guys pushing these things to the max.

figures I just spent 1500 on a new PT88...hey Jose will you do a trade in + some cash? Its kinda crazy to send in a brand new never used turb to upgrade and spend 700$ when its really only 100$ more expensive than a new one.

look into Parish's setup. He dyno'd 1011rwhp and 1070rwtq with a 8.8cr 408 with 317s and a PT88. using a 230/236 cam. its been done and can be done again

...didn't know that. I wonder why I would be told differently. So my goals of 1000whp arent ridiculous with this turbo then....

It can be done. 1012rwhp we did with a customers LT1. Problem is the turbo is done and doesn't hold up as you start to over spin that unit at that point. Also that was on a 355. As the motor ci's go up the power will go down and back pressure will go through the roof.

Yeah but I don't think he's made over 900rwhp yet. Maybe he can chime in.
