the valves were not of the quality necessary. also heard there was some 'issue' with the guides used in my assembly.
Some of my intake valves ended up like upside down umbrellas....
Although I did blow the crap out of my engine at that time too...so I guess the cylinder temps were rather high
Seat pressure combined with extreme cylinder temps I guess can only do one thing. Perhaps if its a material issue that cant be helped, ceramic coating the face of the intake valve may help stop heat transfer into the valve ?
When is that? im new to turbo v8s, i used to be a honda boy, now ima CHEVY MAN! lol
3800-4000rpms. It made 1123rwhp. Mightymouse is trying his GT91 T4 on a auto so we'll see how that does. We want to get some #'s from the guys pushing these things to the max.

this is on a 370CI engine? i wonder how this thing would be on a 6 speed with 9.6:1 compression.

Just a couple mods for this one.. I swear
figures I just spent 1500 on a new PT88...hey Jose will you do a trade in + some cash? Its kinda crazy to send in a brand new never used turb to upgrade and spend 700$ when its really only 100$ more expensive than a new one.

i have been looking at making my 408lsx a 427lsx. would this 91mm t4 be the trick? i have a 88mm mid-fra. now and i am looing at making 1000rwhp, but i have been told that it cant be done with the 88mm???? it made 821 at 18psi on stock 317s, and i just got some new trickflow 235, do you think i can make 1000rwhp on the 408 with the 88mm? or go the the 91. orrr. do i have to go to a t-6?
BTW- its in a 5700lbs denali

look into Parish's setup. He dyno'd 1011rwhp and 1070rwtq with a 8.8cr 408 with 317s and a PT88. using a 230/236 cam. its been done and can be done again
...didn't know that. I wonder why I would be told differently. So my goals of 1000whp arent ridiculous with this turbo then....
It can be done. 1012rwhp we did with a customers LT1. Problem is the turbo is done and doesn't hold up as you start to over spin that unit at that point. Also that was on a 355. As the motor ci's go up the power will go down and back pressure will go through the roof.
