Default Those interested in Magnuson kits for F-body, step inside

Some of you may have been following my Magnuson F-body project for the last couple of years. This has been something that I worked on in my spare time(which I don't have much of) and now, is finally ready to be re-leased!

I have stepped up to become a sponsor here, and am currently working towards getting 10 kits ready for sale, which should be ready in the next couple of weeks.

I would like to put a list together of members that have serious interest in this kit, as I intend to offer some special introductory pricing, and would like to offer that deal to the guys that have been waiting for this. Anybody that would like to be included, please post up, and I wil put your name on the list.

Here is a list of the kits contents:

(1) complete intercooled Magnuson C5 supercharger kit, including the standard 112 supercharger, intake manifold, intercooler, heat exchanger, pump & reservoir
(8) high flow 48 lb hr injectors
(1) Racetronix in tank fuel pump kit
(1) K&N FIPK air induction kit
(1) custom EFILive tune (tune will be created to work with existing mods)
(1) Late Model Speed F-body install kit, complete with template, and full color detailed instructions.

I will post exact pricing later this week, but I anticipate the price to be somewhere in the $6.5K range. I have said all along that I wanted to price these kits similar to the Corvette kit which is $6K, and on these first 10 kits, that's where I think the price needs to be. If it turns out that I can't sell them that cheap, then I will re-evaluate the pricing, and adjust it on the next batch of kits. I think it's imortant that the guys that have been waiting for this all of this time, should be able to get one for the same price as a Corvette kit.

Pleasse feel free to post, or PM me with any questions, and I will try to answer them for you.

Thanks!
Ed Potter

I am interested in this as well. I love roots blowers.

Would like to know if you are going to sell tuner kits (no fuel pump/injectors)

Here are a couple pics, I'm trying to go to the track today, if I make it. I'll take some better ones.

I will definately sell tuner kits minus fuel system and tuning, as well as give credit for customers who may already have the FIPK, or fuel pump, or whatever.

Enjoy the pics,
Ed

Now you really caught my attention. Is that under the cowl? I didnt see any mention of cutting. Looks like you cleared the stock hood. 2 fbods in the area that are ready to jump on this

edit: just saw the mention of the template. still looks like very minor work. Id love to have some roots whine

I says intercooled in his post, and that is how the corvette kits are sold.

This is a very interesting setup.

If the engine is lowered then an aftermarked K member would be required correct?

Thanks for all of the responses guys, this kit should be a lot of fun for everyone that gets one! I love mine, it's just a blast to drive!

The kit does require minor cutting of the cowl, but only on the lower part(close to the engine) The Late Model Speed install kit includes a template for making the cut, and a pre-formed panel that needs to be tack welded in place. The enitre cut area is about 3"x11" , and nothing needs to be re-located. The hood does need a little bit removed from the inner structure, but not a very big piece. I actually cut mine out way to big! some of the different hoods out there might not even need that, mine is the standard flat Z28 hood, but an SS hood, or Ram Air hood may have enough clearence already.

The entire subframe is lowered, much like a 4x4 lift kit, which allows the use of factory motor mounts, sway bars, suspension, etc. The nice thing is, that factory ride height, and alignment specs stay the same. The production kits will be intercooled, but my prototype in the pics is not.

Anybody near Decatur, IN is welcome to come by and check it out

Thanks,
Ed
