Default Delphi confirms Cobalt sensor #12580698 is 2bar.

Hi Tom

Sorry this took so long but here is the data sheet that you requested. The part number that you had was a GM part number. Please use Delphi part number 09350899 to purchase this part.

Thanks

09350899 is a 0 to 200kPa BAP sensor used in the Cobalt SS.

What did you think it was? And is it the right sensor for the job if running a 2 bar SD OS? I'm asking because this is the sensor I have in the car right now, I'd hate to be running the wrong one.

I thought it was 2bar, but kept getting posts that it was a 2.5bar.

HPT even listed it on their site as 2.5bar.

It's great for a 2bar OS since it plugs in and is very accurate.

The confusion started since the Cobalt SS uses a 2.5BAR map combo sensor. It also uses a 2.0 bar BAP sensor.....which is the one that plugs into the LSX intake.

There is a new 3 bar sensor with the same outside casing as the Cobalt sensor which makes it a bolt on and the low resolution of the old huge 3 bar sensor of 40Kpa. Do u know where can we get it from? Its listed under Delphi website with a part # under of 16249939, but there is no part for it in GM.

Thanks

the cobalt's 2.0 lsj motor does have a 2.5bar sensor , its a TMAP sensor , it has the IAT sensor built into the map sensor , shown in this link

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/531077/10

the 2.0 LSJ motor also has 2 other MAP sensor , it has a MAP sensor in the inlet of the s/c , and never see's boost , then it has a MAP sensor being used as a baro sensor

which of the other 2 maps are the 2bar sensor ? im asking because ive got the 2.0 LSJ motor sitting in the garage , as a extra for the g/fs 2.2 eco s/c'd cavalier , so i should have 1 and since i dont need it for her cav , ill need it for the aps-tt going on my goat

You guys are talking about the 2 bar cobalt sensor right? What about the 3 bar sensor, does it fit?

When you through away the MAF, what do you do about the IAT sensor?

2bar. IAT stays in the system as a stand alone sensor....easy with fbods...with some vettes you have to take the 2 wires from the maf sensor and wire in an IAT sensor.

Top out at 200kpa. So roughly 14.7psi of boost since you have to substract 1bar.

The 16249939 part number has to be wrong. The only one it can be is from the Solstice Stage II kit: 55206797 Sensor T-MAP (Bosch Part # 0 281 002 845, supposed to be used on Alfa Romeo 159 1.9 JTD
