The lil ole LT1 just put down 686rwhp and 590rwtq!
That said, the Aussie's routinely use cogs on their LS1/YSi combos, and appear to have it work for them.
Do you have any links to some of these? I'd like to see how they have them set up, I bet its pretty cool looking

First time I've seen your pix and site, Stevie - love the 4DR project and your numbers. I'll be real happy to get the boost up and start getting anywhere near your numbers. Awesome car and truly low-key.
And your numbers, Schurters LT1, are very impressive as well. I have a 383 smallblock Chevy and am just getting started tuning with the new T-trim (upgraded from an S-trim). I'd be extremely happy getting within 10-15% of your numbers. Fighting with belt slip and perhaps bracketry right now.
Thumbs up to both of you.
If you do try the cog, I'd be real interested in your results and and change in sound.
Jim

Z8's had cogs but i think he was all race car, same with LJ i do think he did put some driving on his car ??
lj drove his car reguraly but he also snaped his crank behind the timing gear adn destroyed his engine, he put it back toghether and now selling the car.

The crank cog is from CAPA in Australia. I believe it is just a typical Vortech piece though.
It was an 86T item for a 50mm belt.
At that time, given what I wanted to do, it wasnt suitable with regards to pulleys and available belt sizes ( or lack of belt sizes ). And CAPA were no help whatsoever in this regard.
Problem was I wanted to use the YSi on a stock engine at first. So this did impose limitations.
So I sent the crank pulley to ASP, and they re-cut it for a 12 rib instead, ended up at 8.25"
I wanted a little more, so I then got ASP to make me a 8.5" crank, which I am currently using.
ASP also made me blower pulleys...currently down to 3.0"
For all the cog stuff, CAPA in Australia will have pretty much everything you need, as the Aussie guys regularly use cogs...although not in an F-Body fitment obviously. http://www.capa.com.au/vortech_performance_pulleys.htm
I beilve ATI makes a cog kit for the LS1. Check their site
