We fab and weld our manifolds using the same wall thickness, fit needs to be perfect, when welding stainless argon plurging and proper welding temp is very important.

Do you recommend to wrap the hot parts? I have read underhood temps can get high.

Also how close are the hot parts to the powersteering pump? I have read that some people have to wrap their hoses to keep them from melting or boiling the fluid.

Can you use the stock fans?

Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get an idea about it.

Thank you.

You dont have to wrap any of the exhaust parts but you can if you feel the need too; we never have.

The stock fans aren't moved or altered at all. They work just like a stock car would

We've never had issues boiling the power steering fluid either...

How about this for the first whack on the dyno this morning:

it spun the tires but still managed to make about 370RWHP on 5.5psi. With a few more degrees timing (which is still plenty safe) this thing would have made 400RWHP no problem..

Some bolt on or cam only LS1 cars are making this number.

Was it 5.3 or 5.7ci engine?

If it's not making 500+/- RWHP on 7-8 psi then, to me, it doesn't justify the cost of the turbo kit.

How about #2:

We'll get to 400 by the end of the day... remember this is a bone stock motor with 130k...

Remember our test vehicle has 130k on it and its STOCK
and besides were only on 5.5psi... lol the turbocharger isn't even in its sweet spot on the compressor map yet.

The customer is going to let us push on it more still but the goal was 400-/+ on a stock motor and being able to run 550+/- on a forged shortblock

How much does your kit make on 5psi on the 1st and 2nd pull?

Is this with the smaller T60 unit? I don't think that he is trying to bash you. What I think his point is that most cam/LT's car's make about the same power. I am sure you will put out some good numbers.

Do you have any pics of the bottom of the car with the down pipe hooked up? Thanks.

Exactly. Justing comparing X turbo car with x cam/bolt on car, power wise and cost wise.

No intention to bash you guys. Great turbo kit. I am sure with more tuning and higher boost, it should make higher numbers

I need to get the guys to put it back on the lift so I can finish taking pictures of the kit installed.... I should have the rest of the pictures shortly before the car leaves if I play my cards right

This is a STOCK motor
The only thing we did was put our 62-1 turbo system on it and TR6 plugs.

this turbocharger is 15mm SMALLER then what Ryan K used on his previous dyno sheet. Look at the torque... not bad for a 130k motor...

Stupid noobie question here but what all would have to be done motor wise ( intake, tb, injectors, ) wise and stuff for this kit to work?

are the hot parts available in mild steel?
i think mild steel parts would sell very well to the budget crowd.

You can run as much as you think that stock bottom end can take The rule of thumb used to be 400rwhp on a stock bottom end but since then we we've pushed the limits. I'm sure someone will come in and say so-in-so made 5xxRWHP on a stock bottom before too long .

We upgraded the injectors to 60lbs, dropped in a Walbro 255, and replaced the plugs with NGK TR6s. That's all we did
It also had an aftermarket exhaust system.

The kit is designed for a stock engine compartment with no modification needed.

No. We don't make mild steel manifolds. The crossover and downpipe are aluminized mild steel. $1300 for the set isn't affordable?

Customer has the car now... I never got pictures of the final exhaust system, downpipe and ground clearances I promise to get those for you all once he comes back in. I'm sure it wont be long since he's driving on a stock clutch
