Car has been sitting a few months. He repainted his motorcycle instead of working on this. Hopefully he'll get some motivation and get his ass moving on this. Its just easy stuff left. Trans crossmember, exhaust from the downpipe back, throttle cable, shift cable, thats about the just of it.

Man what a sweet project. I have an '01 525i that I use as a DD, it has 134k on it but still runs perfect. I wonder how in depth of a conversion it would be to swap in an LS1/2??

Did you guys use any literature or sites as a reference or just gut it and drop the 5.3 in? I'd love to read what I'll need to do for an LS swap in an E39.

everything was pretty much gutted and made to fit. He hasnt touched it in awhile, I pushed it out of my garage so I can start my Nova's build. He was talking about ordering some stuff for it the other day....maybe he'll start working on it again. I'd like to see it finished too.

I hope he does, I'd really like to know how it behaves after the conversion.

Holy crap. You boosted a BMW AND made it more reliable. Quite a feat.
You think that would work in an X5?
