Default Looking for specs on the Bosch 420 pump

Is the Bosch 420 pump the same physical size as the Walbro 255?
Anybody got a link for specs flow vs. pressure vs. supply voltage?

The Bosch pump is longer, and circa 2.5" diameter. It also has threaded fittings at each end.
Length of the top of my head is about 5", but I am guessing.

M12x1.5 at outlet, and M18x1.5 intake.

Specs are difficult. Bosch's own ratings are far more conservative than these pumps actually flow, but they do maintain their flow until about 7.5-8 bar ( 110psi or so ) before flow starts to drop off much.
The Walbros start to drop off dramaticalkly after about 75psi.

The 420 name you US guys use comes from 420 lb/hr

Bosch rate it at 180 litres per hour....most others around the world suggest closer to 330 litres per hour.

Either way, it is a very capable and reliable pump. Ive never tested a single, but I tested my dual 044 setup, and they flowed approx 486 litres per hour at 13.1v, 60psi test pressure pumping through through a single -6 line.

Although it's about the same price.

Doing a little searching, the AN fitting on this filter is an 18mm x 1.5 to female 1/4" NPT fitting with the Fuel Safe filter sock (linked above) stuck on the end.

From the flow test posted above, it looks like this pump flows 63.4 gph @ 4 bar. This is enough fuel to support the following:

BSFC HP
.45 - 650 FWHP (N/A application)
.5 - 585 FWHP (N/A application)
.6 - 487 FWHP (Blower application)
.65 - 450 FWHP (Turbo application)
These estimates include a 30% safety factor.

What type of application? e.g. blower, turbo, etc.

i'd say the -044 pump should be able to make 700rwhp each

if they can't then they are not worth it

also its not intake pump, its in-tank (pet peeve)

ATL has a 60 micron screw-on filter for this pump.

-044 is the last three numerals in the Bosch part number for this pump. Bosch doesn't refer to this pump as the '420', it's a nickname adopted by the industry.
