Does anyone have any experience with the 2nd fuel pump on the bs3, i wired it to the highside of the relay and it wont turn on for some reason, if you go to the IO status screen the green light dosent come on either. i set the TPS on to 10% so i could see if it would come on and got nothing
Depends on your firmware, if its an older box it wont work, mine didnt work but after I sent the box in for some updates it worked. The car also has to be running I believe for the second pump to kick in, one pump is high side and one is low side if I remember - been a while.

I just sent it back to get the trans control upgrade and they were supose to upgrade the firmware as well, man i hope they didnt forget or something
Yes, the engine does have to be running, and it is backwards compared to the low side, it sends 12v to the relay, where the low side sends a ground.
What does the sticker on the back of the ECU say? It will have what firmware is in it written on it.

ive got it wired to the high side of the relay for sure and i had the engine running when i tried it, i'll have to check the back next time i work on it to see about that firmware

just in case anyone else encounters this problem the little green light on the IO status screen does not work, i had a bad relay but i never checked after that light didnt come on.
