Default New Aeromotive 340 in tank pump

Man, I was watching the PRI info and it looks like aeromotive is debuting a new 340 walboro style pump that outperforms is by about 30% at all fuel pressures. Man I swear this always happens. I could have gotten by with that and a boost a pump on my setup but I instead changed to dual 340's since I didn't think anything else was out there that was an easy mod. Oh well.

Anyone have any more info on this pump? It's not on their website yet. On a different note, I heard that walbro has had higher flowing versions of the 340 in testing for years but never released them. Maybe did they just buy one of their designs?

There is another new pump coming to the market in januray that flow 325 @ 40psi and is same sixe as walbor 255. so Lonnie could easly stick 2 of them in a basket. lol.

The one coming to the market in january is the one I was talking about.

Edit... your comment was about the walboro. Actually, I heard that they have some similar sized that flowed more according to someone I talked to on one of the forums. Who knows. Maybe urban legend. Anyway, I bet a lot of people are excited about that aeromotive.

I don't have a link. It was on lsxtv.com under their PRI coverage. They interviewed someone from Aeromotive. Since they're a sponsor of this forum, that would be cool if they chimed in.

Est. Price is around $174.95
A walbro 255 from summit racing is $125.00 and it only flows 255lph. This pump offers 85lph more hence the $49.95 price difference. This pump will save a lot of people from having to buy a 255 and a boost-a-pump.

http://www.lsxtv.com/news/pri-2010-a...lth-fuel-pump/

Here is a link to an LSXtv article with a video on this new pump.

Also, these pumps flow 340 liters per hour with a usable flow rate of 60 gallons per hour at 80 PSI. They will support up to 650 horse power at a current draw of 16 amps.

These are going to be amazing pumps guys, just wait for someone to cram 2 pumps in the bucket for a fuel system good for 1300hp!

Scweet!

These are made in USA right?

Any word on warranty? We all know Walbro doesn't warranty anything anymore!

nice, I was looking for a pump for the GTO once I add boost, that sounds like the perfect pump for the job, if it fits in the stock basket

well that price seems good. Look up the New DW300. it is rated at 325 @ 40psi and should retail for around 150. so if this is true. you guys might ahve a hard time at that price. info on DW300 = http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-dyn...rformance.html

but i got the Aeromotive sales flier today from my supplier. looks like a great piece. after i get price i will probably be ordering 4 of them. lol.

I heard Walbro was coming out with a 300lph pump too. I asked Lonnie about it and he was going to ask. If it is true I want him to put two of those in the bucket instead of the 255's.

We have seen that and the flow chart for it but it does not state at what voltage is was flowed at. It could of been flowed at 15V.........so I wouldn't get to excited. A 255 will flow that much at 15V.

FWIW, the Aeromotive 340 will flow 370lph @ 14V set at 40psi.

The Aeromotive 340 pump will last just as long as all the other pumps on the market when using a boost-a-pump.

Just flowed a pump at 17.59 V @ 60psi

433lph

17.02 V @ 90psi

330lph

Hello LS1Tech. A customer of ours sent us this link, and we want to be sure correct info is out there.

The published graphs of the DW300 series pump were indeed taken at 13.5 volts. We use calibrated flow meters and industry standard testing for our ratings, in addition to independent 3rd party verification. Average flow rate of the DW301 is 330lph @ 40psi, 13.5v.

Thanks!
