If you want intank go the walbro, I doubt you'll squeeze a Bosch in the factory bucket.
External- the Bosch 044 is pretty hard to beat, very reliable and good for 700 hp plus NA , add a second one and your good for over 1000 rwhp with boost.
They do have a bit of a wine to them, but personally i don't mind the noise, gives the impression the pump means bussines.
go with a pair of 044s,you may not think you need the extra but it cheap insurance,i run 2 of 044s on my commodore(iron 427)no issues at all.
cheers dave.
thanx "dca1042" and "johnv" since i kind made my mind w bosh 044 and i'm going external i also tough about doing dual if i do need or even instal both and have one off just for cheap/ready insurance, wont hurt, it migh just seat over there if one goes bad while i'm on the road i can get it back on and be back onthe road, now the problem is this inst 300lph = more less 80gph will that get the job done??? well here is the plan
-stock tank w sump(later will change some stuff around to keep the fuel stable)
-dual -10 w pre-filter to pump
-dual bosh 044 w -06 auto the pumps( may go single since my goal wont be over500/600 hp)
- -6 into dual filter back to -6 to Y block w -6 into the rails
- -6 out from rail into Y block and into fuel reg back to tank.
I've read that there have to be modifications doen to the 044 pump in order to run it inside of a fuel tank. Is there any truth to this, if so what do i have to do so I can put it in the tank?
I'm not that stupid. There are other posts saying that the pump has to be modified. That normally means opening the case, or sealing it some how. It's supposed to be an external pump. That's the question not how to put it in the tank.
If you need a mounting bracket for the pump then you can buy one here along with checkvalves fittings and the pump itself...they are great to deal with.....
