Description:
Got used and had a couple mods then. Done nothing since but try and improve it. Was either this for me, or a 2005 Trailblazer for the wife.... I think it was a good choice
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
LS1 5.7 STOCK engine with a bit of a head gasket leak into the cooling system. . . Came with a CAI & SLP lid. Had a Flowmaster American Thunder catback system (didn't know but the cats were gutted - and restrictive as heck 1.25" diameter?????) I've replaced the stock manifolds with Hooker shorties and didn't like them much, so I added a 3" electric (McCord) cutout... didn't like that much either, so I changed to a 3" catback with ory from SLP (LM1 system all stainless). Added a linelock (roll-control) so I could do proper burnouts at the track. Minor tuning with HP Tuners from Janky Monkey Tuning and so far, got ~370 RWHP and about same torque. Changed to FAST 42# injectors and Aero something-or-other fuel rails.
Suspension Modifications:
Changed torque arm to UMI body-mount finally, but have had stock, MAC body-mount, stock, Random Tech and now the UMI. changed the PHR to BMR single adj. and changed the stock LCAs to Lakewoods with poly bushings.
Wheels/Tires Modifications:
Well, came with stock chrome snowflakes, changed to painted 5-stars, changed to painted-black snowflakes, and changing right now to custom painted 10-spokes with a set of ZR1s, set of Y2Ks, set of Convo Pros (been through a pair of drags, streets and working on another set of drags) for the track and set of chrome C5 Z06s ALL at my disposal... garage is full of wheels and tires... wife don't like that, she'll get over it!
Interior/Exterior Modifications:
I've had the stock hood, an aftermarket SS, back to stock, an OEM SS, back to stock and currently a Sunoco needing painting. Still have another OEM SS and stock hoods available... Regular parts store in my garage. I've had an SS spoiler (OEM) on the back, sold it and just getting another SS spoiler. I've also got a unique mod, saw twice after I did it (1 older article and 1 newer article) where I cut the C A M A R O out of the center rear panel and filled with clear epoxy and put in backlighting. Also 'Berger'd the panel... not the hottest thing on an already black car, but I like it.
