Midwest fabbed 9" will be $3300 or so with a 4.30 gear ratio, chromoly driveshaft, iron center section, detroit trutrac, and it includes a chromoly adjustable torque arm.

Strange s60 will be $2300+$300 driveshaft+$550 chromoly adj torque arm with cross brace+$150 powdercoat+$100 4ch ABS reluctor ring groove machining=$3400

So you see the price ends up about the same. The difference is the s60 you get 35 spline axles, 50 pounds more weight, and far less adjustability as far as gear setup and whine goes.

Oh yeah I see your point, well damn. Maybe the best thing would be when I finally get the car and after I actually do the LSX swap I'll decide which one would be best. Maybe by that time I'll have reached a decision. Ha ha. You make a good case though. I do want the most reliable and solid rear end I can afford, even if I'm not going to race, it can't hurt to have a little extra assurance, right?
