I looked at my timeslip again today and the speed was actually 118.6mph. My bad, so it was almost 119mph. I dont care if the gears will drop my mph, i just want those low et's
Sorry, I am going off topic here. What rpm do you launch from? What kind of tires do you use at the track? Do you have any suspension mods?

I was launching around 3000-3500 rpms. Bogs for a split second then picks up hard. I had the 18" sumitomos tires at the track. Only suspension mod is lowered 2" on bilsteins and lca's.

I have 3.73s and almost cutting 1.8s on bone stock suspension. A little more seat time and I see it happening. I slip the Clutch from 4k and all the way out by the 60'.

Gears will deff help if you learn how to launch on a sticky tire

You want to cross the finish line with 4th gear at redline. This will have you at the top of the powerband in the 1:1 gear. This is where you're going to be you're fastest. 4.10's will increase your rate of accleration with all else being equal.

UPDATE!!!

Well i went to the track a couple weeks ago and got the SAME TIME!! WTF!?!?!?

After adding the 4.10 gears AND 26" M/T slicks, I still got a 12.70 (last time i got a 12.76) and my mph dropped 2mph.

My best 60ft was a 1.99. I guess thats better then a 2.2 though. But anyways, after all that you would think i would improve a little more? You think i need taller tires?

Oh well, i have a g5x3 going in soon anyways lol

I know its not good for the 10 bolt but will be saving for a 9" or moser down the road. In the mean time i want to improve the times a little. I also ran with 18" street tires so i will be going out with DR's next time at the track.

So you guys think with 4.10's I can get those times down to low 12's? Car pulls like a freight train and I know it has lots of potential

I have a Moser with 4.10s. You need to know two things. First, and this is very important. Don't buy the Moser if you plan on listening to your radio. My Moser made WAYYYYYY toooooo much noise. Thanks to Lone Star Performance and some Richmond gears, the noise isn't gone, but at least I can have a conversation with someone else in the car.

Second, with my 4.10, M6, and Nitto Tires, the shift point at the end of the track sucks. I have a choice of over revving or shifting at the end of the track. I hope to fix this with some larger tires.

I had changed from stock 3.42 to 3.73 to 4.10. So I've seen them all run. Unless my shit point issue is resolved with the new tires and the larger cam I'm installing, I'm going to say the 3.73 was the best match.

well i was just going through the traps in 4th gear around 6400rpms.
I think a taller tire will help. The power band on the cam is a little bit lower anyways

^^^ yeah i know. I just spent a few hundred dollars on the cam setup and took it to the track shortly after. Didnt have enough $$$$ to cough up some tires/wheels at the time

But then about a month after i finally bought the MT's and gears but still got the same time!

You're playing with fire,be ready to replace the rear end! And the comment about the moser rear end might be true with a crappy set of gears (made in China). I love my Moser 9", but it originally came with those crappy gears mentioned above. Now I have motive gears in it ( a must) if you order a rear end be real specific what gears come in it!
