Default Motive 3:73 Part#?

I have a chance to buy some Motive Gear 3:73's, but am not sure if they will fit my car with 2:73's on the box it says motivegear 7.5-3:73. After reading a few posts and searching, I think the ones I need would need a "T" in the part number to show they are the thick gears? Since I can get them so cheap, do they make a spacer that I could use? Or isn't that a good way to do it?

The motive gears I bought to replace my 2.73 gears had the part number MOT75373X. They are the thicker gears for the 2 series carrier, which you should have since you have 2.73's. They do sell a spacer for around $50, but I couldn't tell you anything else about them other than that. I just went with the thicker gear because I figured with a spacer thats just one more thing to mess with / something else to go wrong.

Guess it depends on how cheap you can get the gears for. You can buy the thick gears new for $189 or you can buy the set you found + $50 for the spacer.

Yeah, I did some measuring and these are not the thick ones. So now I figure I may as well upgrade my posi and just buy a better 3 series style carrier.
