I have had the SLP (GM) 3.73s, in my 10 bolt for over 50K and they are still quiet. NO gear whine. And for anyone wondering, the SLP gears are GM gears. Unless something has changed, I purchased mine about 4 or 5 years ago.

well, when I sold my new 3.73's to get some new 4.10's, I couldn't find AAM' that were B-body ABS friendly. So I went with presision gear.

Also note, that my rear end is not a 7.5" tooth pick. but rather an 8.5"

all gears will whine or break if you install them badly, no butts about it .

it really dosnt matter cuz with 4.10's on a 10 bolt... them teeth are tiny, you will break them one you make some horse power.

Summit brand here as well. Mine are dead quiet.
