I'm not planning for stupid power for awhile, but I've heard to go with a 9" instead of 12 bolt for t-56 cars. I'm not looking to go over probably 450-500 at the wheel for now. Which one would be more benefical, 9" or 12bolt? And shipping to 27909??Thanks.

Bob,

My car has ABS but no traction control; therefore, which Moser 9" should I get? I will be buying from you guys and having it installed locally. Also, what gears do you recommend? I was thinking 4.10's (or 4.11's since this is a Ford 9" design) since I have an M6. Please advise. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Phil

You wont be able to get ABS with the 9". I still dont understand why a company like Moser or Strange wont engineer something for the 3 channel cars.

I would go with the 9 inch. $2,400.00 shipped without ABS/TCS to you. Thanks for inquiring! Bob

Hi Phil, since you don't have traction control, the 9 inch can't be made to work with your ABS (3 channel) assembly. I still sell a lot of the 9 inch rears to people with ABS, and they just do without having ABS on their car. To me personally, it's no big deal, in fact, I really don't like the ABS systems. Its sort of like braking for dummies to me, but thats my opinion. Thanks! Bob

I'm not really sure how long I'll keep them at this price, but it will most likely be for a while. Bob

Bob,

I ordered my Moser 9" today. Jake was very helpful with the process. I am very excited to get it in and get the stripper to the track but only after a proper break-in, of course. Thanks again,

Phil

HI:

Do you offer rear ends for third gen F-bodies? (I know 4th gens will "bolt in", but I don't want the wider axle tubes and having to deal with extra offset rims)

If yes, would you please provide a quote for me? the stats on my car are the following:

'84 T/A with LS1/ 6 speed trans, currently mild, but future plans include ls6 heads and cam or lQ9 heads and a supercharger/ cam... car is a daily driver with some performance. not a drag race only toy.

not sure which one you'd reccomend- 9" or 12 bolt. I've heard the 9" takes more HP to turn and, as mentioned previously, is heavier (more unsprung weight) not sure if my desired power levels require the 9" or if the 12 bolt could live in this range..

shipping: residential- 91406, business- 90265 (if one is cheaper??)

Thank you!

Even though the 9 inch takes a little more power to turn it, I would go with it. Same price applies to your 3rd gen as it does for the 4th gen, we just have to let Moser know what it is for. Thanks! Bob

It has to be a thickness difference between the aluminum and the cast iron. Bob

I was just pm'd a question relating to how soon I place the order with Moser once I receive the order. The answer is immediately after I receive the order. I call Moser right away, even before I run the customer's credit card. I figure this way Moser can get the rear immediately into production. Moser ships the rears two days after the order is received. Bob
