Yes,Carbon Fiber if you dont mine the price. The PST 3.5 aluminum driveshaft is pretty light and is alot cheaper than carbon fiber.

I don't think they break as easily as you guys think or maybe some of the other guys that did have their stock ones break just got some of a bad batch from the factory.

I broke a competitors 3.5" aluminum driveshaft three years ago at 540 rwhp, which uses a 1330 yoke, and requires a conversion U Joint. Mine broke right at the 1330 yoke. The PST driveshaft uses a beefier 1350 yoke and includes a heavy duty 1350/1350 U Joint. I haven't heard of anyone managing to break this driveshaft.

To each his own... Bob

I got a Spohn top gun chromemoly for in mine with solid 1350 joints and a strange stainless yoke hes rating that at 1500 HP, do I need one rated that high? no but Im not having a shaft brake on me going down the track at 130 MPH I seen it happen and throw a car into a wall after it broke, its not worth chancing it.

BTW Im not saying anything bad about that shaft, just stating its not worth keeping the stock one.

I broke mine with just a lid, catback, and sfc's and T/A. I went 13.24 @ 108 w/ 2.11 60' with no burn out spiing ba outta the hole. Second pass Mad burn out, street tires at 16psi, and launch at 3k dead hooked, but ripped the shaft apart right on the line.

If you have a DS loop then you shouldn't have to worry about this?

even with a loop when a shaft brakes its not good, the car I seen hit the wall had a loop on it, when it broke it shook the car and sent it over to the left into the wall. 02 camaro mid 10 second car with a dennys nitrous ready shaft and broke it in 2 right in the middle.

How so. There should be maybe what 2.5 inches of play around the DS inside the loop?

Are you sure a piece of the DS didn't take out a tire?

A front loop is nice, BUT you should really have one in the rear, too...ask me how I know this...

Possibly, I'd have to see how much interest there would be. A lot of people don't think about getting a driveshaft until they break the one they have, and need one asap. Bob

Are you referring to the LPE DS? I have one with the 1350 u-joint and no problems.
