I don't even own one......but the 4th gen WS6 is, imho, the best looking f-body ever created.

But, i'll still keep my z28.....too much invested into it at this point.

If my 1999 ss had seat belts that retracts when i got out i pick my 4th gen. Does anyone know if the seat belts actually work on a 5th gen? If they do i pick the fifth gen.

For looks alone I think the 98-02 WS6 is the best looking car. Performance and handling I think the 2010 Camaro wins. For a street car and daily driver the 2010 camaro wins again. For a drag racing track car the LS1 fbody wins.

So overall I think it's a toss up. Either way you're going to have a fun car that won't dissappoint and will turn heads. So IMO there is no wrong choice but rather two right ones

I'd take the new Camaro. Newer, LS3, can't go wrong.

The new Camaro is AWESOME. Rear drive 426hp. Never thought the day would return. Futuristic styling with enough retro cues to easily I.D. it from 200 yds.

If this poll was taken in June 1992, the voting would likely be 84% in favour of the 3rd gen vs. 16% for the 4th gen.

I prefer the WS6 over just about anything. But I understand it takes a while for the new age stuff to win people over. Especially when you have such die hard fans of the LS1 cars.

Wow... some of you guys crack me up . How could you possibly be so definite about keeping your 4th gen over a new SS without even driving one, or for most people without even seeing one in person up close? Yes its heavier than a 4th gen but it also makes alot more power and the LS3 responds even better to mods than the LS1.

Well I wouldn't go as far to say it sucks, its a nice ride. But I agree completely when it comes down to an LS2 vette.

ws6 looks better then a 4th gen camaro psssh the ws6 is decent at best imo. the new camaro looks good on the outside but the interior is the ugliest thing ive ever seen. i havent driven one yet but to me thats not the point the interior makes me not want to drive it i dont care if it has 426 hp to me it has to look as good as it performs.

4th gen all the way for the Trans Am's. The '10 Camaro looks better than the 4th gen Z28 but has little edge over the SS imo

I like the 4th gen better by far. If a stock 7-12 year old car with ~350 horsepower can run the quarter just as fast or in some cases faster than a brand new car with 420+ horsepower... They did something wrong. Very wrong.

The 4th gen is definately going to be the new Fox body.

I would not buy a 5th gen if I had the money. My next car will be a Corvette.

they did everything perfectly.. its above par for all the other cars its competing with.. some sections by a lot, some slightly better, very few lacking...

and no, 4th gens dont run just as fast... or faster...

do the faster 4th gens run the same or faster as some of the slowest 5th gens? yes... but like i said, once people learn these cars it isnt going to be such a close comparison.

I think its a tough draw...I love 4th gens and I've owned four of them....

However the improvements overall on the 5th gen are hard to ignore....

That being said...if I was going to spend that type of money I would buy a used C6.... I think Ill keep my 4th gen and pick up a C6 later....

When where the 4th gens designed? Very early 90s. Very EARLY. Even then nothing has really changed with the Fbody design since the early 80s.

At least now the 5th gen has a proper suspension to give the car a suitable ride. Does it add weight? Hell yea. Will the masses care?? Hell no.

After seeing one in person the car is good. Is it WS6 good?? Nah. It doesnt have that big bite but it does have good looks.
