Default Hey anyone have a link to the autotrix window mod

I need the driver side not the passenger side, Or I could just have a friend rewire it directly to the battery using a couple of t taps and what not, But I think it would be easier by using the autotrix mod. I've found the one for the passenger side on i think the ws6 store's website.

The one for the driver side is on ws6store too. It is the autotrix express down kit. The problem with the driver side lies in the original express down module, this one from autotrix replaces that and corrects the problem.

Odd, I'm sure it was there when I got my autotrix kit for my passenger door.

Well you can get it straight from their website.

for some reason i was thinking that they only offered a pass side fix and by fixing the pass side it fixed the drivers side because of how they are wired.

Nope passenger side isn't connected to the driver side in any way (except sharing the same fuse, well by default until you put in the passenger autotrix kit).

Here is the express down kit for the driver side. It costs much more than the passenger side but that is because of the express down stuff. You can get a passenger side express down too if you wanted.

Really I'd bet you could adapt a passenger side fix kit to work on the driver side, except you'd lose the express down function. But that may or may not be a big deal to some people.

Wow ok....anyone care to shed some light on this? I wasnt aware of that but I can see it because they only offer a "passenger side" fix and not a "driverside fix".

yeah the express down feature doesnt mean much to me. I have another question I bought a new window motor from my store which is advance auto parts, Would I be wasting my time by just installing the window motor and not the auto trix kit?

I replaced my motor on my driver side, it's still working OK. Just it is slow compared to my passenger side that has the autotrix kit. Amazing what that kit did, passenger window (original motor) went from struggling to reach the top to flying to the top.

If I had the wiring diagram for the driver side stuff I'd look into a way to adapt the passenger side kit to work on the driver side, minus the express down.

I just think it would be easier to run your own wire to the battery and be done with it.

Well right but I mean tapping the original harness and switch correctly. Kind of like the passenger side. But with the express down thing you don't want that controlling the relays otherwise it'll still work for express down but not shut off when the motor reaches full down. Then you start blowing fuses and/or the motor. Not good.
