I want a quiet muffler to replace me LM... but just the Muffler
I'm redoing my whole exhaust (LMs, ORY, Dual Cutouts, and a new Muffler or Catback depending on what works).
I want to know if there is any quiet-ass muffler that I can swap out for the LM bullet? I don't care about breathability since I'll be running the cutouts open with the exception of starting the car late at night... and around the popo.

Yeah why on earth would you want a quiet f-body. When you say LMs, ORY, Dual Cutouts Im guessing you means LT's. I wouldnt call the magnamouth or the borlamouth quiet just quieter than the LM resonator. Youll probably want a real muffler and not a strait through design to quiet it down. Most folks would recommend a hooker or magnaflow catback.

Yes, LTs, just a typo.
I think I'll ahve to look at a whole new catback too. I just wanted to check and see if there was a cheaper option out there. Maybe I'll go through the Classifieds on here for someone selling their stock catback...
Loud F-bodies are like loud imports.... seriously it does get old, and Im a car guy.
Quiet and quick is the way to go. You get to have more fun without being noticed, and you arent crying out for attention...
Im doing my new exhaust with quiet mufflers, Flowmaster Big Block II (70series). Id much rather give up 5-10hp to be able to mess around when I want to and not wake the neighborhood when I come home at night.

borlamouth, dynomouth and magnamouth are simple replacements to the LM1 and LM2. now as for quiet and good flowing, check out the magnaflow or the hooker aerochamber catback. quieter while still having a nice, low rumber and scream at WOT
Detoxx, do you have any video's of your exhaust. Im just curious to hear the tone with the XR1. I got the LM1 and Im going to get ARH headers, And im trying to get a feel for an XR1 sound. I know you are cammed, so that is exactly what I want to hear.
You guys think the magnaflow is quiet? I have one and it is pretty loud... Thinking about swapping it out but I can't find a good replacement with the finish quality of the magnaflow. SLP has a new one that is supposed to be pretty quite but the finish quality is not that good.

i personally dont see why you wouldnt just add a muffler over buying a whole new catback. should be cheaper to get the muffler. and magnaflow is one of the quietist there is....
or you could put stock back on with cut out? not sure how it sounds though with headers.
