Ive been looking at diffrent intakes and two of them look to good to be true. The edelbrock pro flo xl and the weiand street warior. they both advertise more power than fast, but they arent very popular. I want to know if they are all their cracked up to be or are they a waist of monney.

head cam swap in progress.
the street warrior is on jegs, says its ready to ship. and the edelbrock will fit, with a low rise elbow or you can trip the cowl some to make it fit with a taller elbow. not a big deal, just a deal

and you have to cut the hood too, unless you use the the lowest profile Edelbrock elbow they make, but they dont flow that well. If you want to go that route go with GMPP carbed spider intake (tad shorter than Edelbrock)with intakeelbow.com's elbow,(like mine in the pic <-------- ) no trimming at all.
I dont think the Weiand is good at all, its a lot like the LS6 but made out of metal so it can heatsoak. the others are metal too but at least the have better runners that make up for that.
whats your set up like? Depending the edelbrock might make you lose some low end.

OH MY FOCKING GOD WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE SEARCH ON THE GOD-DAMN STREET WARRIOR?!
Hell I deleted the damn near year long thread detailing the demise of this intake out of boredom!
And if you want to use the pro-flow XT then lower the K member, use shorter, solid motor mounts, cut up you windshield cowl and loose you wipers. Guess what? That is in the big, long thread called NEW EDELBROCK INTAKE..., which like before I deleted out of my subscriptions due to lack of interest as it wont easily fit on our cars.
zmonster explained it perfectly, ls1 navy summed it up, now can we please lock this thread before some dumbass tries to claim that the street warrior is actually out there!?!?!??!!?!?!?

But summit has it for sale with a shipping date....
LS6 or FAST. Wouldn't buy or put anything else on my car. Edelbrock one doesn't fit, Street warrior doesn't really exist and is only marginally better than an LS6, and in my opinion everything BBK makes is worthless junk.
