Just finished installing mine. Was not fun.......My hands are beat to crap. Broke the oil pressure switch. Bumped it ever so lightly and it snapped. Also broke off 1 fuel injector harness. Wires where kinda brittle after 11 years in the underhood heat. Had to replace all the PCV lines and PCV valve too as they where all rotted. Rock solid idle now (alot of leaks in the old tubing). Gotta wait for the wife to get home to take it for a test spin.
hey guys i have 2 questions about this intake. i purchased the bbk intake and tb from a guy on the forum and i dont know if it'll work for a 98...i didnt see any addapters that came with the kit nor did i see a special spacer for the 98 cable to strech to the tb. dow anyone know what i should do?
also about the porting has anyone done it to this intake? if so how much gains were there.

I have a 98 and it bolted right on. Just got to change the aft passenger side engine valley cover bolt with the supplied button head. Also loctite all the bolts on the bottom of the intake, so they dont vibrate out.

OOO Nice look`n intake`s . I was looking at these & was wondering are they smog legal ??
Just looking at the tube that runs atop/ behind a factory TB do you remove it when installing the BBK or is it still there ?? . .
Heres a pic with my catch can and coil relocation kit. I also polished the valve covers and accumulator for the A/C.
Were you able to use the factory crossover coolant tubes that go under the intake, or did you have to use the LS6 tubes for the intake to fit?
I had to use the LS6 coolant tubes for my BBK intake to fit, even after replacing the replacing the rear passenger side valley cover bolt with a button head bolt.

How flat did you hammer them, and did you completely remove all the protective sleeves over the knock sensors wires, did you reroute the wires differently?

I didnt hammer the pipes flat but just made them sit on the valley cover flat. I didnt have to remove anything from the sensors. You can though, probably would allow it to sit flatter.
