Ls6 intake egr adaptor questions
I'm looking for anyone who has ever had experience adding an EGR adaptor to their LS6 intake or who has one of the intakes from SLP. (Now before I begin, let me just say that deleting my EGR is not an option. Been down that road, have to have emissions tests every 2 years, visual inspections are done randomly, and I will not face the consequences of being caught without it. Nor do I wish to change intakes every time i have an emissions test, as it's a colossal waste of time) I'm thinking of adding a brass fitting to it and i was just wondering how it is secured onto the manifold? Also, exactly what size of fitting is needed? Searching has proven fruitless for me so hopefully somebody has an answer. Thanks in advance.

I'm looking into this at the moment. After some searching and looking at pics of SLP's LS6 intake (haven't had the opportunity to see one in person) I'm looking into using a "Ferulok" style fitting made by Parker. This seems to be similar to what SLP used and is readily available. ...I don't know if it's compatible just yet but I will be confirming this in the coming weeks when I pull my car out of storage and have some time to take a look at them.

Appreciate the link, I wonder if brafasco would have anything like it. i was also wondering if you could simply run it to one of the vaccum ports on the side of the manifold behind the tb. Like run a hose off of it, to an adapter then too a smaller hose that connects to the manifold. Would there be any tubing that could withstand the heat? How much pressure does it have?

One port lets fresh air into the crankcase, wouldn't want to hook to that. The other is to draw crankcase vapors into the intake via the PCV valve, so as long as you hook into the intake side of the valve that might work, but it might cause the valve to stay open more (less vacuum on the valve with EGR open). I think there's a reason they designed it with the EGR inlet after the throttle body where the PCV lines hook in.

it also looks like they used some sort of thin washer between the epoxy on each side as well. as far as nuts, i've found that a 3/4" lock nut found in plumbing or electrical stores could be used, as it's already really thin. all i need to figure out now is what kind of epoxy to use. i picked up some jb kwik, so unless i find something better, that's what i'm gonna use. any thoughts?
