It's debatable, but it's definatly not WORSE. Will it make a difference for most people? Probably not.

Supossedly, the road racing guys claim it vents the air from the rear cylinders faster and helps prolong the life of the #7 hole.

When you put it on the car should you have the foam pieces in there or will they cause clearance issues with the coolant lines?

Could put two of the front LS6 tubes (one in front, one in back, a hose from each into a Y, and then onto radiator).

Why? It's easier to just grind.

maybe someone could help me understand what the point is in grinding those fins... when i put my LS6 intake manifold on there was a metal tune in the front under the TB that had a rubber hose coming off of it, and on the back of the block there were 2 plugs. the small black tubes under the manifold i just left as is. i didn't have any kind of fitment issues or anything.

so, how come you grind the fins?

I dont see why you need the foam, leave it off. My new intake didnt come with the foam, so I wont have any.

Sounds like someone already put an LS6 on your car. Black tubes under the manifold? You probably mean the wires for the knock sensors.

My FAST doesn't have the foam pieces, I say chunk 'em.
