why is it so impossible that you could use electricity from your altenator to create HHO gas to be fed back into the engine. the altenator is constatly spinning producing AC current, which gets rectified into 12 VDC. If your battery already has a good charge and you arent putting a large electriacl load on the system wouldnt there be energy available for an HHO generator.
I dont know maybe im wrong, maybe the less amperage you are using than the easier the altenator spins and the engine works less. so adding an HHO kit would work your engine harder via the altenator and negate the gains in mpg. i guess a good question is whether or not there is energy produced by the altenator going unused.
i keep hearing people say that the laws of thermodynamics make this impossible, but nobody actually goes any farther than that general statement. sure the law of conservation of energy or whatever applies here. but isnt there alot of energy wasted in internal combustion engines. who knows maybe im way off, but i still am open to new ideas.
oh and i really enjoyed reading your response chocotaco, you seem to be pretty well informed on the subject.
