Default New Flowmaster Merge Pics

Update! I picked up 8hp and 2lf/tq on the dyno tune.
Yeah, not the greatest results, but considering that it was 85* w/ a relative humidity of 65%, its pretty good. It was hot as balls in the shop.
My original 355/363 ###'s were done over winter break when it was about 60* in the shop.
Still impressed with the sound and feel this made. A must do for Y applications.

Here are some pics of the original set-up and the install

Default Finished Pics

I got underneath the car tonight and painted the exhaust a nice satin black.
I covered the undercarriaage w/ some Painters Plastic and taped it up to the side of the car, then went to town. Started out w/ DupliColor High Temp paint, it sucked! So I top-coated w/ Krylon High Temp BBQ paint, this is some good stuff, covered nicely.

It was a TSP ORY, but the 1st shop I went to f'ed it all up. After the Y, he reduced the pipe down to 2.5 then back to 2 3/4 stock I. What a mess he made, so I went elsewhere and had this shop fix it all in a couple visits.

Thats the ultimate exhaust. Best of both worlds. Stock type exhaust with maximum performance when cutout is open.

The first shop installed that TSP ORY backwards! The leg going to the pass. side should have been the leg that goes to the catback.

Shit, stock would have been better than what they did.

Yeah they did! It looks like the output of the Y was supposed to be where the passenger side header flows into.

That looks great. I'd like to see a before & after dyno comparison, must have made a good gain there.

I'm goin back to the dyno next Thusday mornin and get a retune.

Before I put down 355/363 SAE w/ the f'ed Y-pipe, headin back to a cut-out after the axle into a flowmaster.

Now I have the custom Y-megre, cut-out before the axle and an LS6 intake.
So, I'm hoping to pick-up maybe 20rwhp.

Looks pretty good. Is that the dual 3"-4" merge? Where did you pick that up at?

A speed shop in town, they ordered straight thru flowmaster.
WS6store has it as well.

I can't wait to get this retuned and dyno'd. I should've gone this route from the get-go.

Thats what was going on! I stared at those pics for a while trying to figure out what the hell the guy was thinking that made that merge. I kept saying it looks like the guy built a merge not knowing which direction the exhaust gases flow! lol.. good call.
