I wanted specific years of aplication not just any 6.2L. don't answer to my post if u don't know specifics like I ask. & yes I relize I said g6 & not g8 v8 sorry. so in all of this fricken posting only 2007 has the l92 head & its off the escalade a yukon denalli

ohh ya and I obviously know that 6.2l diesel heads won't work!!!

As stated before, you are looking for the 2007+ Escalade and Yukon Denali. They came with the 6.2L/L92 head combo.

The 2006 and earlier Yukon Denali, Yukon XL 2500, and Escalade, and numerous models of the Silverado, and Savanna/Express came with 317 heads. Just make sure its a 6.0L.

Now what about these
* 2007-present Chevrolet Silverado HD
* 2007-present GMC Sierra HD
* 2007-present Chevrolet Suburban 3/4 ton
* 2007-present GMC Yukon XL 3/4 ton

If I remember correctly, the 6.0L LY6 comes with L92 heads also?

Obviously...

The L92 heads came off the 6.2l gas burning V8 engine. If you found a 6.2l gas burning engine that came out of a GM truck or SUV it has L92 heads PERIOD. They won't work on an engine with anything less than a 4.0" bore so the 6.0 and up is the only engines that can use them. That means they don't work on the 4.8l, 5.3l or 5.7l engines.

I just checked some other threads and the LY6 (thats the RPO code for the 6.0L aluminum block in the vehicles I mentioned), does come with L92 heads.

How about you give us the part numbers off from the heads and block that you are looking at buying and we can tell you what they are? That should solve the problem.
