It should be a week or so earlier than that I'd think. I was told sep 1st through motorbooks Website and oct 1st-15th for everywhere else. Wish I had more info than that.
Just got an update from Amazon that its shipping early (10-07)...

Just got my copy. First thought is, this thing is huge. Much bigger than any other LSx book I have.
Looks to be an awesome read.
Cool! Good to know they are starting to arrive.

I think you will pick up a few bits of information here and there, there is really good info on every page actually. If there is any portion of the text you think needs to be explained better, shoot me a PM.

Thanks for the update! That is an interesting LS swap BTW.
Just got mine last night in the mail. Quick question, the 402 is 4.000" bore x 4.000" stroke correct? If so, I found a typo
Yep I have the wrong stroke listed it should be (4.00X x 4.000) - Thanks, I will submit that for the next printing, one of the other moderators already brought it up last week. I actually intended those notes for me to keep track while discussing CID options and meant to delete them actually. I had a table with the dimensions at one point, I don't believe it was published.
I was told some mistakes would get by the editing process.

Actually the stroke was listed wrong. The bore was listed correctly @ 4.000 and the incorrect stroke of 3.622 was listed instead of 4.000.
Anyway, awesome book thus far. I didn't mean to put you in the spotlight for an error, just curious because I do not know much about these engines and wanted clarification. Thanks!

I was up at the Mid America Motorwerks Corvette Funfest this weekend in Illinois and they had the book on the display. Damn that's on thick book! I paged through it (as much as they would let me) and it's packed with info. I like it because it's not a bunch of "canned" pictures with minimal non-applicable text.
It's broken down into specific chapters that will make this "the" reference book for do-it-yourselfers.

Cool that you were able to check it out already! I'm about to order a few extras up, I'll bring one to you at the LSX race.
I just ordered mine cant wait to read. If anything breaks I'm blaming it on you.
You sound like my friends when they attempt to work on their car without me around! Are you sure you don't work in Lubbock? j/k I don't think you'll have any problems!
