Default Ls1 cyl head casting per YEAR chart ... Anyone have one?

I've done the searches on this site , I just forgot which years in perticular "853" cast heads came on?

I know that my 01 ws6 has 241 styles. I know what major differences 241 vs 243 vs 317 etc.

I used to have a photo saved on my laptop that had the year breakdown on which cyl head was on for year to year etc. That laptop hard drive bit the dust a year ago. I have not found this same chart online searching for the past 30 minutes.

Can someone please help me out and type me a quick chart on which years and what they relate to? Basically I need to verify which "cast" was perimiter bolt which I knew was 97-98 ls1 but cannot remember what cast number this is.

THanks in advance. I have searched the site and I would not post if I could not find my answer myself.

Paul

To my knowledge its:
98-00 = 853
01 = 241
02 = 243

I know of 01s that have 853s. More then likely early year production and GM using up remaining heads. I believe 98 was the only year for perimeter valve covers

The 98's came out with the 806's. An yes that was the only year that had the perimeter valve covers. I didn't think that the 243 heads came on the ls1 engine at all. But I know some people did say the 01 or 02 may have came with the ls6 block which may could have came with the 243's. I'm not an expert on what heads came with the year except the 98's with the 806

ok great i could not find out what casting perimeter heads were. I found a matching ls1/6spd out of a wrecked car that I'm wanting to pick up for my 93 rx7 project. Thanks... If anyone finds the full head chart again I would like to see it just to keep for reference. thanks.

nope you all are wrong. 243 heads never ever came on f-bodies. It was 241 for both 01-02 models. 243's are ls6 heads and only came on the corvette z06.
This is how it is
98'- ?- perimeter bolt variant of 853- forgot the casting #
99-2000- 853
mid 00' to 02- 241

lq4 & lq9 - 317
all zo6 corvette (ls6) - 243

No, you are wrong. I have seen 01s with 853 heads. And yes they were original.

Whatever...my point was the 243 was never on the fbody. 241s and 853s are the same head to me.
