Default Stock Heads Flow Better with Ferrea Valves?

Hi,
Will the intake or exhaust flow increase if you just swap out the stock valves for Ferrea’s? I have heard that the exhausts can help on ported heads but have never heard anything about the intake valve comparison.
I am taking the heads off of my ’99 C5 and will mill ~0.030” to raise the compression. I am also changing the cam so I will have the springs off anyway.
Thanks for your help,
Steve

Default Re: Stock Heads Flow Better with Ferrea Valves?

Very little if any...the only gain would be with the fact that they are swirl polished...only way to increase flow would be to port & polish them...Its still a good idea to replace the valves b/c the ferrea's are stainless steel (stronger), lighter, and swirl polished...I've seen a couple big cam stock valve combo's let go b/c of stock valve failure...good luck!
