Default **NEW** Ported & Flowed FAST 92 & 102mm Intakes On Sale

Effective immediatly, Total performance Engineering has developed an intake manifold porting program that is sure to set ourselves apart from the rest.

As many of you know, although the FAST intake is a solid performer, they leave a lot to be desired when it comes to the intake runner cleanliness. In the past, members have relied on porters reputations in regards to how well their manifold has been ported. In alot of cases, the porter doesnt even test the port job they just performed. They just toss it in the box, and send it on its way.

Well, due to the huge success of our in house engine program, we've decided to share with the public an unbelieveable offer. We have decided to begin offering ported and flowed FAST intakes.

The only way a program like this would even be remotely successfull, is if we had a flowbench at our disposal. Fortunately, we do.. It is a Superflow SF-1020 with both wet and dry flow capabilities.

How does this program work??

When you purchase a manifold from TPE, we immediatly install the stock FAST manifold on the SF-1020 flowbench, and generate a baseline flow number. Without a baseline, the ported flow numbers are useless.

We then disassemble the manifold, and perform the necessary porting. Throughout the porting process, we will continue to flow the manifold in order to verify our work is continuing to make progress. Once the port job is completed, we perform a final flow chart, and overlay it with your previous "Stock" flow numbers.

When you receive your new manifold, you will get a signed printout of your ported manifold, that certifies its actual capabilities.

With every purchase, you will have the option of determining what size TB opening you want at no additional charge. So if you have a 95 or 100mm TB, we will open the intake manifold throat up for free.

When it comes to port matching, as long as we have the heads that you have on your own car, in stock, then we will port match for free. The FAST manifold tends to have the ports in a slightly awkward position, so you will see that material is removed in some spots, and left alone in others. This is the difference between someone truely porting a manifold, and someone who just hogs it out.

The best part is, is if the manifold doesnt improve, or declines, WE eat the cost, and port another one. Rather than us passing on the bad port job to the customer because it wasnt flowed in the first place.

We are so confident in our porting abilities, that if you have a competitors manifold, and did NOT get a flow sheet, as long as you pay for the shipping, we will flow your manifold at no charge. So if you want to know what your ported manifold flows, box it up, and send it to us. We'll give you a printout for free.

So please dont hesitate to question your manifold flow capabilities. I know I would.

To sum it up, when you purchase a ported intake manifold from TPE, you get:
  • New "FAST 92" or "102 LS7 LSx" Manifold
  • "Before" Flow Numbers
  • "After" Flow Numbers
  • Serial numbered manifold
  • Printout w/signed certificate of flow abilities
  • FREE TB matching
  • FREE port matching

Price:
1099.00 plus shipping for a FAST 92mm
1229.00 plus shipping for a FAST 102LSx
The L92 Version will be avail in September

Due to the extensive nature of the work we perform, please allow approximately 10 days for porting and flow time.

So now you can get an unbelieveable manifold, at a great price, and have a flow sheet to prove it..:thumbs:

Sounds like a good deal. Have you flowed any intakes bolted to actual heads? If so, what kind of flow numbers are you seeing?

We have.. But the additional pain is not worth the effort. I dont remember the #'s off the top of my head.

When flowing a head, you must then do it a different valve lift breakpoints. So the data derived isnt really necessary for what were doing. We would only do that if were trying to tie in an entire top end.

BUT.... We do have a CNC'd plate that replicates the intake side heads. So we can bolt it on the manifold, and flow one entire side if we want. This gives us a bank average, rather than individual port numbers.

i'd say the bar has been raised a tad here.....i'd be anxious to see what "other" shops' manifolds flow. i still need an intake for my 454, and although i'm not wanting to put a FAST on it, it IS an option still...

Default Ported LS7 intake vs FAST 102mm ?

Any comparison numbers for a GM LS7 ported intake ?

If not, would you be willing to compare my ported LS7 Intake to one of your finished ported FAST ? I'd pop mine off and ship it to ya. Then if we see gains that we think would benefit my 454 ci engine with WCCH ported LS7 heads, I'll buy one !

If you guys would want to do this, I could even fly out with the intake as I'd like to see this comparison with my own eye's ! ? ? ?

You guys up to it ?

As I seen in a previous post, one ls1tech member installed the FAST on his 454ci and only a small gain which I think is not worth the $$$$ FAST is asking for it...

I'm sure he's busy flowing/porting these manifolds, and also getting before/after numbers.

What would also be great to see is if new injectors are run, to see on a stock LS7 manifold...before and after the new injectors, and then the ported fast LS7x before and after new injectors so we can get an idea of what effect new injectors will have in power gains. I'm really very close to pulling the trigger on this, my stock LS7 manifold is holding me back a good amount along with my exhaust.

This happened to my FAST at the track at the end of the backstretch at 145+:

[IMG][/IMG]

????

Would the 92mm be a good fit for my heavily cammed (MS3) 402 with P&P Patriot Stage 3 heads? Would it need to be retuned going from 90 to 92? Is it worth salvaging this? I don't think I really want to.
