[PICS] The BADDEST Street Attack 500 to date 701hp/677tq NA on 11:1CR & pump gas! Here is what it takes to make a true 700hp, 11:1 compression, pump gas engine without any funny business. Keep in mind that this is a 500ci engine with a 4.500" stroke so we are not revving it very high either.
Street Attack 500
Custom camshaft - a little more aggressive but still streetable, still hydraulic
Kinsler crossram manifold - makes it less streetable
11:1 compression
March front drive
Katech carbon fiber valve covers (prototype pictured)
Show prepped intake runners, valley cover, water pump, oil pan - Atomic Orange
Painted engine block/heads
Going in a 1963 Corvette
To be featured in Vette Magazine
You may ask why the dip in the torque curve. It is related to camshaft/intake/calibration. We may be testing more with a Motec to tune that out a little better. Keep in mind that the "dip" is still over 650 ft-lbs at its lowest point.
This engine makes our Desert Attack 500 look very promising. Imagine 14:1 compression, more aggressive camshaft, and a Kinsler vertical manifold. 750hp/750tq here we come!

whats the price tag on an engine like that?
I know there's probably more power in it, but I would have thought 800fwhp would come from that big engine and with that killer intake.

Or maybe you have to be loaded to consider asking that question...? That intake is sick.

Great looking motor and great power.
I hope those orange push-lok lines get traded out for Braided at a bare minimum, color matched hardlines would be nice.

For sure. Those are for dyno only. The car will get something much prettier. We just don't want to scratch those all up on the dyno.

Another un-loaded question or two.
What size ITB's are those in mm's?
What does that intake alone cost with all the required linkages and extras?

Its an oval. Equivalent to 2 3/8" round in area.
About $7000 with everything - fuel rails, MAP/IAC log, TPS, trumpets, screens.

for the love of god.......
Simply amazing, especially the torque curve, even with the dip that's a true stump puller!
How hard has it been to get the ITB's dialed in? I've heard they are a b*tch to tune but once right it far outweighs anything else.

Excuse my ignorance, but what do you run for air filters on that thing on the street?

Two days on the dyno getting it right...it can only go to a certian point. The car is a show car/rarely driven.

Once the customer gets the engine, they will be building airboxes to contain the runners. That is where the filters will be housed.

I don't know about the Kinsler. But I've been talking with a guy that just got done with his 454ci LSX and the Harrop 55mm ITB intake. He said it was very easy to tune. I've seen videos of it idling and revving, smooth as silk.

So about 60mm.
Do you have an opinion on whether or not an ITB intake will make more power than any single TB sheet metal intake?
